FEATHERSTON ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Featherston Road Board intends to take the land comprised in a line of road 100 links in width, and commencing at the ford of the Awhea River below Pine Bush corner, and continuing in a southerly direction through Section 156, Awhea Block, for a distance of 5445 links; thence in a south-westerly direction through Section 106 for a distance of 1756 links into Stony Creek; thence following the south-east bank of Stony Creek through Sections 62, 61, 111, and 109 for a distance of 7496 links: as the same is more particularly described on a plan of the said proposed road which has been deposited at Mr. George Pain’s Store, Martinborough, and is now open thereat for public inspection.
And notice is hereby further given that the said Board intends to construct a road for public traffic, as hereinbefore described. All persons affected by the taking of such land and construction of such road as above stated are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections thereto, and to send such writing to the Featherston Road Board at Featherston within forty days from the present date hereof.

WAIKOUAITI COUNTY.
NOTICE OF TAKING LAND FOR PUBLIC WORKS IN THE COUNTY OF WAIKOUAITI.
In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1882.”
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Waikouaiti County Council to take certain lands hereinafter described for the purpose of constructing a road, and all persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the publication of this notice to the Waikouaiti County Council. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the said road and of the land required to be taken is open for inspection at the office of the County Council at Waikouaiti.
THE FOLLOWING IS A DESCRIPTION OF THE LAND:—
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 30½ perches, being part of Sections 1 of 41 and 2 of 41, Block I., North Harbour and Blueskin District; all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 29 perches, being part of Section 42, Block I., North Harbour and Blueskin District; all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 26 perches, being part of Section 43, Block I., North Harbour and Blueskin District; all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 8 perches, being part of Section 44, Block I., North Harbour and Blueskin District; all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 5½ perches, being part of Section 45, Block I., North Harbour and Blueskin District.

Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in payment from any place at which post-office orders are issued.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 2 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
