Gold Fields Notices.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of "The Mines
Act, 1877," and with the regulations made under that Act
for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby
notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for
gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed
Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such
lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds
of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the
Warden at Greymouth on or before the 26th day of May, 1883.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be
seen at the Warden's Office at Greymouth.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANTS: Patrick Power and party. Style under which it
is intended to conduct the business: "The Rising Sun Gold-
Mining Company." 8 acres, at South Beach, in the Westland
Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Hokitika, this thirtieth day of
April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

Land Transfer Act Notices.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land
hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions
of "The Land Transfer Act, 1870," unless caveat be lodged
forbidding the same on or before the 24th day of June, 1883.
1296. THOMAS HUDSON DAVIS.-Sections 16, 17, 38,
42, and 43, Township of Aramoho, part of Section 26,
right bank Wanganui River. In occupation of August Sufflot.
1392. CATHERINE WALLIS and ELIZABETH
WALLIS.-Part of Section 53, City of Wellington (Nairn
Street). In occupation of Applicants.

APPLICATION having been made to me by ELIZA
GREENSTREET to register a certain dealing affecting
Rural Section 32,425 situated in the Ashburton District,
whereof the said Eliza Greenstreet is the registered Proprietor,
and a statutory declaration of the loss of the license to occupy
the said section having been lodged with me, I hereby give
notice that I shall register such dealing at the expiration of
fourteen days after the date of the Gazette containing this
notice, unless in the meantime a caveat be lodged forbidding the
same.
Dated at the Lands Registry Office, Christchurch, this 15th
