NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT ROAD-LINE To Arthur C. Henderson, Registrar of Births, Deaths, and
IN BLOCK IX., WAITOHU SURVEY DISTRICT,
COUNTY OF MANAWATU.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Otaki
Road Board, under the provisions of "The Public Works
Act, 1882," to execute a certain public work, to wit, the
construction of road-line in Block IX., Waitohu Survey
District, and for the purpose of such public work the lands
described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

Notice is further given that a plan of the said road and of
the lands so required to be taken is deposited for inspection
at the office of the Otaki Road Board, Otaki.

And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said
lands are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said work or to
the taking of the said lands, and to send such writing within
forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Otaki
Road Board aforesaid, at their office in Otaki aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land containing by admeasurement 16 acres
and 9 perches, more or less, situated in Block IX., Waitohu
Survey District, County of Manawatu, Provincial District of
Wellington, commencing at a point 215-8 links south-west of
Section 37, Matitikura. Bounded-Generally South-easterly
through Native land 215-8 links, and along south-east boundary
of Section 37, Matitikura, 758 links; thence through Te Ngae,
976-7 links; thence through Te Roto, 6745 links and 979-2
links; thence through Turangarahui, 1438.6 links; thence
through Turangarahui No. 2A, 1152-5 links; thence through
Turangarahui, 2989-3 links; thence through Turangarahui,
3158-2 links; thence through Native land, 3711-2 links; thence
100 links North-easterly by Native land; thence generally
North-westerly by Native land, 35684 links; thence through
Turangarahui, 3358-1 links; thence through Turangarahui,
30093 links; thence through Turangarahui No. 24, 1152-5
links; thence through Turangarahui, 14762 links; thence
through Te Roto, 975.4 and 624-3 links; thence through Te
Ngae, 909-5 links; thence through Native land, 1034-9 links;
thence South-westerly by main road, 100.4 links, to the
commencing point: the same being delineated on a plan deposited
as aforesaid.

TOTICE is hereby given that, under the provisions of "The
No Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and the acts amend
ing same, and "The Public Works Act, 1882," the Sydenham
Borough Council propose to make a new street through part of
Rural Section No. 72, leading from St. Mary's Square, and for
that purpose to take all that piece of land, being part of Rural
Section No. 72 in the Christchurch District, the property of
Agnes and Jessie Macfarlane, being part of Lot No. 75A on the
plan of Rural Section 72, deposited in the Deeds Registry
Office at Christchurch as Plan No. 43; commencing at the
south-west corner of the said Lot No. 75A; thence running
northerly along its western boundary, 125 links, to the north-
western corner of same; thence easterly along its northern
boundary, 96-3 links; and thence south-westerly, 150-6 links,
to the starting-point.

A plan showing the street to be made and the land required
to be taken for same may be seen, during office hours, at the
Town Clerk's Office, Sydenham.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in
writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the
making of the said street or to the taking of the said land;
and such objections must be sent in to my office on or before
the 18th day of June, 1883.
