Taranaki, being Section No. 40 of Block XVI., Kaupokonui
Survey District, containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more
or less. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 39 of said
block; towards the East by Section No. 41; towards the South
by Section No. 47; and towards the South-west by Ahipaipa
Road: as the same is delineated on the plans in the Survey Office,
New Plymouth. For a recreation and plantation reserve.

WELLINGTON.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 52 acres 1 rood 38
perches, more or less, being Section No. 16 on the plan of
Block V., Kopuaranga District. Bounded towards the North,
3172 links, by Section No. 13; towards the East by a public
road; towards the South, 3199 links, by Section No. 21; and
towards the West, 1620 links, by Section No. 15: be all the
aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As an endowment for
primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 81 acres 3 roods 9
perches, more or less, being Section No. 17 on the plan of
Block V., Kopuaranga District. Bounded towards the North,
5127 links, by Section No. 14; towards the East, 1620 links, by
Section No. 18; towards the South, 5097 links, by Section No.
22; and towards the West by a public road: be all the aforesaid
linkages a little more or less. As an endowment for primary
education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 552 acres, more or
less, being Section No. 97 on the plan of Block III., Kopua-
ranga District. Bounded toward the North by a public road;
towards the East, 11632 links, by Section No. 98; towards the
South, 3886 links, by Section No. 104; and towards the West,
15343 links, by Section No. 92; be all the aforesaid linkages a
little more or less. As an endowment for primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 116 acres 2 roods,
more or lesss, being Section No. 5 on the plan of Block I.,
Kopuaranga District. Bounded towards the North, 7773 links,
by Section No. 3; towards the East by a public road; towards
the South, 7615 links, by Section No. 8; and towards the West,
1500 links, by Section No. 4 of Block IV., Mikimiki District:
be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As an endow-
ment for primary education.

Wellington, containing by admeasurement 59 acres 3 roods,
more or less, being Section No. 6 on the plan of Block I.,
Kopuaranga District. Bounded towards the North, 3977 links,
by Section No. 4; towards the East, 1500 links, by Section

towards the West by a public road: be all the aforesaid link-

Wellington, containing by admeasurement 164 acres 1 rood.
14 perches, more or less, being Section No. 2 on the plan of
Block VIII., Mikimiki District. Bounded towards the North,
4350 links, 1666 links, 3247 links, by Sections Nos. 74, 72,
and 1; towards the East by Section No. 6, Block V., Kopua-
ranga District, 3240 links; towards the South, 6470 links, by
Section No. 3; and towards the West by the Ruamahanga
River; be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As
an endowment for primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 93 acres and 17
perches, more or less, being Section No. 4 on the plan of Block

VIII., Mikimiki District. Bounded towards the North, 6580
links, by Section No. 3; towards the East, 1620 links, by Section
No. 15, Block V., Kopuaranga District; towards the South,
4740 links, by Section No. 5; and towards the West by the
Ruamahanga River: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more
or less. As an endowment for primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 103 acres, more or
less, being Section No. 1 on the plan of Block II., Aohanga
District. Bounded towards the North, 2642 links, by Section
No. 4, Block IX., Mount Cerberus District; towards the East,
7970 links, by Section No. 171; and towards the South and the
West by the Pongaroa River and a public road be all the
aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As an endowment for
primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 418 acres, more or
less, being Section No. 2 on the plan of Block II., Aohanga
District. Bounded towards the North and East by a public
road and the Pongaroa River; towards the South-east, 5966
links, by Section No. 222; towards the South-west, 3951 links,
by Section No. 3; and towards the North-west, 8118 links, by
Section No. 6, Block IX., Mount Cerberus District: be all the
aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As an endowment for
primary education.

NELSON.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Nelson, containing by admeasurement 100 acres, more or less,
being Sections No. 12, Block I., Ahaura, and No. 30, Block
XIII., Mawheraiti Survey Districts respectively. Bounded on
the Northward by a public road, 1305 links; on the North-
eastward by Crown lands, 4275 links; on the South-eastward
by a public road, 427 links and 3483 links; and on the West
by a public road, 2720 links, 2853 links, 294 links, 509 links,
190 links, 224 links, and 136 links respectively. For recreation.

CANTERBURY.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Hurst Survey District,
Provincial District of Canterbury, containing 10 acres, more or
less. Bounded—Southward by Section No. 12658 and the
north-western boundary-line thereof produced; Westward by
the River Rakaia; and Eastward by the river road: and
numbered 2559 (in red) on the official map in the Survey Office,
Christchurch. For the purposes of a ferry.

OTAGO.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, situated in the Town of Ophir, being Section No. 3 of
Block II., and containing by admeasurement 35 perches, more
or less. Bounded towards the North-west by Swindon Street;
towards the North-east by Section No. 4 of said Block II.;
towards the South-east by a road-line; and towards the South-
west by Section No. 2 of said Block II. to Swindon Street, before
mentioned: as the same is delineated on the plans in the Survey
Office, Dunedin. For a public street.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less,
situated in the Waitahuna West District, and being Section
No. 170 of Block I. of said district. Bounded towards the
North by a road-line, 1100 links; towards the East by a road-
line, 910 links; towards the South by a mining reserve, 1101
links; and towards the West by a road-line, 910 links: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school site.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, this ninth day of January, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

JAMES PRENDERGAST, Administrator of the Government.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the Governor may from
time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which, in his opinion, are
required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the one hundred and forty-fifth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under
the said one hundred and forty-fourth section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months after the publi-
cation in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent
reservation shall be published in the Gazette:

And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the several warrants the dates of which
are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of which were published in the Gazette specified in
the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of
the said Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily
reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column
of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
