NOTES FOR MARCH, 1883.

Auckland.-Tolerably fine at beginning and end of month but showery during middle, the maximum fall recorded on 11th,
1.145 in., with strong gale from N.; also stormy on 23rd and 25th from S.W.; winds prevailed from N.E. and S.E. and generally
moderate.

Wellington.-Fine up to 9th, with changing wind, except on night of 5th when it rained heavily, wind S.E.; on night of
10th heavy rain from S.E., and continued wet on 11th, wind increasing to very strong, 2.83 in. rain recorded on 12th; from 12th
to 22nd fine pleasant weather, wind chiefly easterly; on 22nd fall in barometer and sudden change from N.W. to S.W., with
strong gale at night and rain; from 23rd to 29th generally fine, but sudden changes in wind and unsettled; last two days wet
and stormy from S.E., prevailing S.E. wind.

Lincoln.-A showery month with intervals of pleasant weather; maximum rainfall on 31st, 1.30 in.; prevailing N.E. and
S.W. winds, and stormy on 31st from latter quarter; thunder on 15th and 16th; fog on 28th.

Dunedin.-Changeable weather, with light and frequent showers, the greatest fall on 12th, 240 in.; prevailing W. and S.W.
winds, and strong on 23rd and 24th, otherwise moderate.

Waitangi.-Fine but at times showery, the maximum rain recorded on 31st, 1.12 in.; strong S.W. wind on 25th and 26th,
from which quarter it prevailed; thunder on 24th.

GENERAL REMARKS.-Rain generally in excess, but some very fine pleasant weather, with prevailing southerly winds; the
temperature about the average. Earthquakes at Wellington, 21st, at 7.30 a.m., slight, and 28th, 10.30 p.m., slight; aurora on
28th.

Land Transfer Act Notices.

NOTICE is hereby given that a statutory declaration of the
loss of certificate of title in favour of HUGH TALTY,
for Allotment 147 of the Parish of Waioeka, containing 50
acres, more or less, being the whole of the land comprised in
Vol. xiii., folio 273 of the Register-book, having been filed in
this office, and application having been made for the issue of a
provisional certificate for the same, it is my intention to issue
such certificate, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on
before the 22nd day of May next.

(Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare,–

  1. That the liability of the members is limited.

  2. That the capital of the Company is £50,000, divided into
    10,000 shares of £5 each.

  3. That the number of shares issued is 10,000.

  4. That calls to the amount of £1 per share have been made,
    under which the sum of £9,837 10s. has been received.

  5. That the Company has administered to no estates, and
    therefore has neither received nor paid any moneys on account
    of estates under administration.

  6. That the Company has, as Trustee, Attorney, and Agent,
    taken charge of property and securities to the value of £70,000.

  7. That the Company in such last-mentioned capacities has
    received money to the amount of £24,276 2s. 4d., and has paid
    away £23,276 2s. 4d., and on the 31st March held on that account
    £1,000.

  8. That the Company in such last-mentioned capacities up to
    the 31st March last had collected rents and interest amounting to
    £3,377 3s. 5d., and had paid away at that date £3,133 8s. 3d.,
