was duly elected to be Senate's Member of the Board of
Governors of the Auckland College and Grammar School.

IN accordance with "The Auckland College and Grammar
School Act, 1877," and the regulations thereunder for
conducting the election of Governors by the persons autho-
rized to do so by subsection 2 of section 3 of that Act, I hereby
notify that

SIR GEORGE MAURICE O'RORKE

has been this day elected a Governor of the Board of Governors
constituted by said Act.

SALE OF LEASES FOR A TERM OF TWENTY-ONE YEARS.

Compensation for Improvements up to £5 per acre will be
allowed at end of Term of Lease.

West Coast Settlement Reserves Office,
Hawera, 17th March, 1883.

TENDERS will be received at this office until 11 o'clock in the
forenoon of Monday, the 23rd April, for the leases of the
under-mentioned agricultural lands. Copies of the regulations
under which the said leases will be sold and issued, also forms
of tender and declaration respectively, can be obtained at the
District Land Offices, New Plymouth, Patea, and Hawera, or at
any of the other Land Offices in the colony; also at the office
of the Collector of Customs, Wanganui, and the Post Offices,
Thames, Wanganui, Reefton, Westport, Greymouth, Ashburton,
and Oamaru.
