Land taken for Roads in the Puhoi Road District, Auck-
land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken under "The Public Works Act,
1876," and "The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act,
1878," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of roads in
the Puhoi Road District, Provincial District of Auckland:

And whereas the Puhoi Road Board has laid before the
Governor the memorial and map mentioned in and signed and
certified as required by the said Acts:

And whereas the two hundred and twenty-ninth section of
"The Public Works Act, 1882," enacts that any public work
authorized under the authority of any Act repealed by this Act
or of any Act or Ordinance repealed by "The Public Works
Act, 1876," and any land required to be taken, purchased, or
acquired for such work, or anything commenced under any such
authority as aforesaid, may be continued, taken, purchased or
acquired, executed, carried out, enforced, and completed under
the provisions of this Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pur-
suance of the powers and authorities in me vested by sections
eleven and two hundred and twenty-nine of "The Public Works
Act, 1882," and of any other power and authority in anywise
enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of roads; and that, from and after the day of the
date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely vested
in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages,
charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use
as roads.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement
24 perches, more or less, situated in the Survey District of
Waiwera, in the Provincial District of Auckland, Parish of
Puhoi, commencing at a point on the road-line which forms the
northern boundary of the northern middle portion of Allotment
No. 18. Bounded-Generally Northerly by lines, 180, 115, and
120 links respectively; Southerly by lines, 80, 74, and 234 links
respectively, to starting point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement
8 perches, more or less, situated in the Survey District of
Wairoa, Provincial District of Auckland, being portion of Allot-
ment No. 19, Parish of Puhoi, commencing at the easternmost
angle of the south-western portion of Allotment No. 19.
Bounded-Generally Easterly, 53 links; Southerly, 207 links;
Northerly, 92 and 89 links respectively, to starting point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement
1 acre 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, situated in the Survey
District of Waiwera, Provincial District of Auckland, being por-
tion of Allotment No. 19, Parish of Puhoi, commencing at the
south-easternmost angle of Allotment No. 19. Bounded-Gene-
