All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure- ment 23 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Blenheim, in the Provincial District of Marlborough, being part of an allotment marked "Customhouse Reserve" on the plan of the subdivision of Sec- tion No. 46, Opawa, in the said provincial district, commencing at the north-west corner of Allot- ment No. 205 of said subdivi- sion. Bounded-Westerly by Stuart Street, 69.4 links; thence Westerly by other part of first-mentioned allotment, 199.9 links; thence Easterly by Allotment No. 206 of said subdivision, 75 links; thence Southerly by said Allotment No. 205, 200 links, to com- mencing point: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor: be the said dimensions a little more or less. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure- ment 31 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Blenheim, in the Provincial District of Marlborough, being part of Allotment No. 206 on the plan of the subdivision of Section No. 46, Opawa, in the said provincial district, com- mencing at a point distant 75 links in a northerly direction from the north-east corner of Allotment No. 205 of said sub- division. Bounded-Westerly by an allotment marked "Cus- tomhouse Reserve" on the said plan, 205 links; thence north- erly by the Opawa River to the north-west corner of Allotment No. 207 of said subdivision; thence North-easterly by said Allotment No. 207, 58 links; thence Easterly by other part of said Allotment No. 206, 179.6 links; thence Southerly by other part of said Allotment No. 206, 92.6 links, to com- mencing point: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor: be the said dimensions a little more or less.

Notice of intention to Change the Purpose of a Reserve.

WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," it is,
amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may
declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter the
dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in Her
Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in
Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be
granted or not; and, in the case of any reserves made under the
authority of section one hundred and forty-four of "The Land
Act, 1877," if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expe-
dient to change the purpose of such reserves or any part thereof
from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set
apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the
Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised
in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated
to one or more purposes named in the said Class II., the
Governor may, by notice in the Gazette, declare his intention
to make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may
be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which
the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pur-
suance of the powers and authorities vested in me by "The
Public Reserves Act, 1881," aforesaid, hereby declare my
intention to change the specific purpose of the reserve de-
scribed in the first column of the Schedule hereto to the specific
purpose set opposite such description in the second column of
the said Schedule, and such land shall henceforth be deemed to
be reserved and set apart for such last-mentioned specific pur-
pose, and no other.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 16 perches, more or less, situate in Block IX., Takapau Survey District. Bounded towards the North-east by the Norsewood Road, 641 links; and towards the South and West by public roads, 382 and 585 links respec- tively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for a courthouse.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixth day of February, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-three.

Proclaiming the taking and laying off of Roads over Lands
in the Wellington Provincial District.

IN exercise and pursuance of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim that the several lines of road described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in a warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
MANGAKUTA ROAD.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington,
being a road-line 100 links wide, the middle of which com-
mences at a point (marked A on plan) on the north-eastern
boundary of Section No. 36, Manaia, about 160 links from its
northern corner, and extends thence north-easterly through the
Mangakuta Block to the point marked C on plan.

Also all that other parcel of land, being a road-line 100 links
wide, the middle of which commences at the point marked B on
the above-named road, and extends thence south-easterly
through the Mangakuta Block to the point marked E on plan.

Also all that other parcel of land, being a road-line 100 links
wide, the middle of which commences at a point (marked D on
plan) on the north-western boundary of the Mangakuta Block
about 30 links from the Mangakuta Stream, and extends thence
south-easterly to the point on the Mangakuta Stream marked F
on plan. As all the above roads are shown on the map of the
same, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington.
Warrant dated the 13th April, 1882.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this
seventh day of February, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-three.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

IN exercise and pursuance of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim that the several lines of road described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in a warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
ROADS TAKEN THROUGH THE WHATAUPOKO BLOCK.

ALL those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasure-
ment 57 acres 3 roods 17 perches, 4 acres 1 rood 9 perches,
1 acre 2 roods 7 perches, and 3 acres and 27 perches, respec-
tively, more or less, situated in the Waimata and Turanganui
Survey Districts, and being roads, each 100 links wide, traversing
the south-western portion of the Whataupoko Block :-

Portion containing 57 acres 3 roods 17 perches, commencing
at the south-eastern angle of the timber reserve in Block I.,
Waimata Survey District, and being within the Waimata and
Turanganui Survey Districts; and thence continuing in a south-
easterly direction for a distance of 580 chains or thereabouts to
the Taruheru River, near its confluence with the Waimata
River.
