Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of "The
Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations made under
that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes,
it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of
Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicant
specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged
with the Warden at Arrow on or before the 9th day of
January, 1884.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be
seen at the Warden's Office at Arrow.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: Henry Brewer Smith. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "The Black Angel Gold-
Mining Company." 5 acres 1 rood 27 perches, in the Waka-
tipu Mining District, being Section 18, Block XII., Skipper's
Creek.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this thirteenth day
of December, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.

December, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.

Company." 16¼ acres, at Coles Gully, being portions of late
cancelled leases, Lilly and Keep-it-Dark, in the Collingwood
Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this tenth day of
December, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.
