Exempting from Duty Mann and Co.'s Bonding Warehouse,
Port of Tauranga.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day
of December, 1883.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section five of β€œThe Customs Laws
Consolidation Act, 1882,” it is enacted that the
occupier of any warehouse appointed for the free warehousing
and securing goods therein liable to duty under the Customs
Acts shall pay an annual duty on such warehouse as in the
said enactment is set forth; and also it is thereby further
enacted that the Governor in Council may, subject to certain
exceptions, exempt from the payment of such duty the
owner or occupier of any such warehouse: And whereas
application has been made for a license for a warehouse
situate on Allotment number four, Section number one, in
the Town of Tauranga, of which Mann and Company are the
owners or occupiers, and it is expedient that the owners or
occupiers of the said warehouse should be exempt from
payment of the annual duty aforesaid:

Now, therefore, in exercise and pursuance of the said power
and authority, and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of New Zealand, I, William Francis
Drummond Jervois, Governor of the said colony, do hereby

order that the occupiers and owners of the said warehouse
shall be exempt from payment of the annual duty chargeable
thereon under the Act hereinbefore recited.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the second
day of November, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three, certain regulations were made under "The Sale
of Poisons Act, 1871," respecting the sale of strychnine and
arsenic: And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said
regulations:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the
said "Sale of Poisons Act, 1871," doth hereby revoke the
said Order in Council and the regulations made thereunder.

Lands permanently reserved.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the Governor
may, from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed
or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the one hundred and forty-fifth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved
under the said one hundred and forty-fourth section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months
after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice
of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:

And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the several warrants the dates
of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of which were published in the
Gazettes specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes
specified in the second column of the said Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily
reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second
column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
