Special Order made by Wanganui County Council.β€”Manga-
whero, Upper Wangaehu, and Wangaehu Road Districts
constituted.

THE following special order, made by the Wanganui
County Council, is published in accordance with "The
Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT this Council do hereby make a special order for three
separate Road Boards in the Wangaehu District, to be called
respectively the Mangawhero Road District, the Upper
Wangaehu Road District, and the Wangaehu Road District;
that the number of members for the Mangawhero Road Dis-
trict shall be five, that the number of members for the
Upper Wangaehu District shall be four, and that the
number of members for the Wangaehu Road District shall
be seven; and that the boundaries of each district shall be
as per First Schedule hereto.

That the boundaries of the Makirikiri, Waipakura, and
Mangawhero Ridings be readjusted as per Second Schedule
hereto, so as to make them coterminous with the various
road districts hereinbefore mentioned; and that the name
of "Mataongaonga" be substituted for "Waipakura," and
"Kaukatea" for "Makirikiri," as designations for ridings.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

MANGAWHERO ROAD DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Provincial District of Wellington,
bounded towards the South-west and North-west by a line
along the middle of the Wanganui River from a point oppo-
site the south-western corner of the Waipakura Native
Reserve to the intersection of the said river by the south-
western boundary-line of West Taupo County; thence
towards the North-east, South-east, and again towards the

North-east by the said county and East Taupo County to
the Rangipo-Waiu Block; thence towards the South-east
generally by the Rangipo-Waiu and Murimotu Blocks to the
Tokiahuru Stream; thence by the centre of the said stream
to the Wanganui-Murimotu Road; thence by the centre of
the said road to the point at which it begins to descend
towards the Mangawhero Valley from the summit of the
dividing range separating the said valley from that of the
Wangaehu River; thence by the summit of the said dividing
range to the Heao Block; thence by that block to the south-
eastern corner of the Paratieke Block; thence by the
Waipuna-Puharakeke and Pue-Hurangi Blocks to the
Mangawhero River; thence by a line along the centres of
that river and of the Wangaehu River to a point in line with
the northern boundary of Section 312, Block XIII., Manga-
whero Survey District; thence again towards the South
generally by that section to Section 304, Block I., Wangaehu
Survey District; thence by the latter section and Sections
329, 331, 332, 333, 334, 335, and 336, Block IV., Ikitara
Survey District, and Sections 337, 338, 350, and 351, Block
III., of said Ikitara Survey District, to the Kukuta Stream;
thence by that stream to the Wanganui River aforesaid, at
the south-western corner of the Waipakura Native Reserve;
and thence by a right-line to the point of commencement.

UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD DISTRICT.

All that area in the Provincial District of Wellington,
bounded towards the North-west generally by the Mangawhero
Road District, hereinbefore described; towards the North-
east by East Taupo County; towards the East by Hawke's
Bay County; towards the South and South-east by the
Rangitikei County; and thence again towards the West by a
line along the centre of the Wangaehu River to the Manga-
whero Road District aforesaid.

WANGAEHU ROAD DISTRICT.

All that area in the Provincial District of Wellington,
bounded towards the North generally by the Mangawhero
Road District, hereinbefore described; towards the South-
east by a line along the middle of the Wangaehu River to its
mouth; towards the South-west, by the sea to the mouth of
the Wanganui River; and towards the North-west by a line
along the middle of the said Wanganui River to the Manga-
whero Road District aforesaid.
