ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment one thousand nine hundred and ten acres, more or
less, situate in the District of Wairarapa, and being the
block of land called or known by the name of "Maramamau
West," and numbered 35N.
Land taken for further Portion of the Wellington-Napier
Railway-Hastings Station (additional).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS a certain military reserve pro-
claimed in the New Zealand Gazette of the twentieth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
three, under the name of the Napier to Waipukurau Rail-
way, and the said railway now forms part of the Wellington-
Napier Railway:
And whereas the two hundred and twenty-ninth section of
"The Public Works Act, 1882," enacts that any public work
authorized under the authority of any Act repealed by this
Act, or of any Act or Ordinance repealed by "The Public
Works Act, 1876," and any land required to be taken, pur-
chased, or acquired for such work, or anything commenced
under any such authority as aforesaid, may be continued,
taken, purchased, or acquired, executed, carried out, enforced,
and completed under the provisions of this Act:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule heroto is
required for further portion of the said Wellington-Napier
Railway, namely, additional land for Hastings Station:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by virtue and in pursuance of the power
conferred upon him by the one hundred and thirtieth and
two hundred and twenty-ninth sections of "The Public
Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in
anywise enabling him in that behalf, doth heroby proclaim
and declare that the said land so described in the Schedule
heroto is taken for the said further portion of the said rail-
way from Wellington to Napier.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 2 roods 36 perches, more or less, situated in the
Survey District of Heretaunga, Provincial District of Hawke's
Bay, being Sections Nos. 62, 63, and 64, in the Township of
Hastings, commencing at the southernmost corner of
Section No. 63. Bounded-South-easterly by railway reserve,
508 links; North-easterly by Avenue Road, 100 links; North-
westerly by Sections Nos. 60, 61, 65, and 66 respectively, 500
links; South-westerly by Queen Street to point of com-
mencement, 191 links as the same is more particularly
delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 10771, deposited
in the office of the Minister for Public Works at Wellington,
in the Provincial District of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the fiftieth section of "The Land Act
1877 Amendment Act, 1882," and of every other power and
authority enabling him. in that behalf, His Excellency the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, and at the request of the School Commissioners for
the Otago Provincial District, in whom the lands are vested,
doth hereby declare that the blocks and sections of land
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the
provisions of sections three to forty-eight of "The Land Act
1877 Amendment Act, 1882."

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of "The Land Act,
1877," it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclama-
tion in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of
any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land
as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on de-
ferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day
on which the land shall be open for application; and that he
may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred pay-
ments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by
any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter,
amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Otago did, on the twenty
