THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
No. 110
Reserve No. 2058, commencing at a point 2722 links distant
from the north-western corner of said section. Bounded as
follows: North-easterly by lines, 2871 and 84 links respectively;
Easterly by a public road, 100 links; South-westerly by
lines, 116 and 2829 links respectively; Westerly by a line to
commencing point, 125 links.

Also that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasure-
ment 13 acres and 14 perches, being portion of Native
Reserve No. 2058, commencing at a point on the western
boundary of said reserve 2045 links distant from the southern
boundary of Section No. 25754. Bounded as follows:
North-westerly by a line, 13104 links; Easterly by the eastern
boundary of said reserve, 100 links; South-easterly by a
line, 13082 links; South-westerly by a public road to com-
mencing point, 103 links.

Be all the above areas and linkages either more or less,
and the several parcels of land being situate in the Rakaia
District, Provincial District of Canterbury, and are more
particularly delineated upon the plans attached to the
memorial above referred to and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this seventeenth day of October, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
three.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the fiftieth section of "The Land Act
1877 Amendment Act, 1882," and of every other power and
authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby declare that the blocks and sections of
land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to
the provisions of sections three to forty-eight of "The Land
Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in
me vested in this behalf by "The Resident Magistrates
Act, 1867," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and de-
clare that, from and after the first day of November proximo,
the jurisdiction of the Resident Magistrates' Courts for the
Taranaki and Patea Districts, as the same are defined in a
Proclamation bearing date the sixteenth day of October
instant, shall be extended to one hundred pounds.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by
"The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1877,"
His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby incorporate the members of
the Matau Agricultural and Pastoral Society into a corporate
body under the said Act, under the style and title of "The
Matau Agricultural and Pastoral Society."
