Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in a warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 31 acres, 3 acres, 2 acres,
24 acres, and 26 acres respectively, more or less, situated in
Block IX., Opoiti Survey District, and being road-lines 100
links wide, and varying in width, traversing the Mangaruhe
East Block.

Portion containing 31 acres, 100 links wide: Commencing
at a distance of 2551 links from the north-western angle of
the Mangaruhe East Block; and thence continuing Southerly
in the direction of Trig. Station D; again Easterly in the
direction of Trig. Station b; and again Southerly in the direc-
tion of Trig. Station I; for a total distance of 31020 links or
thereabouts to another road at the Wairoa River.

Portion containing 3 acres, varying in width: Commencing
at Trig. Station I, and thence continuing North-easterly along
the Wairoa River for a distance of 13 chains or thereabouts.

Portion containing 2 acres, 100 links wide: Commencing
on the road first above described at a distance of 37 chains or
thereabouts from its southern termination near Trig. Station
I, and thence continuing South-easterly, for a distance of 20
chains or thereabouts, to the Wairoa River.

Portion containing 24 acres, varying in width: Commencing
at a point on the road last described at a distance of 200 links
or thereabouts from the Wairoa River, and thence continuing
North-easterly in the direction of Trig. Station d, South-
easterly in the direction of Trig. Station L, and again North-
easterly to another road, for a total distance of 220 chains or
thereabouts, and to a point on the last-mentioned road at a
distance of 2550 links or thereabouts from the Wairoa River.

Portion containing 26 acres, varying in width: Commencing
on the Wairoa River nearly opposite to the mouth of the
Mangapoiki Stream; and thence continuing North-westerly
to Trig. Station C; and thence generally North-easterly to the
north-eastern boundary of the Mangaruhe East Block, and at
a point on the same 3899 links or thereabouts from its north-
eastern angle: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as
the same is delineated on Plan No. 3342, deposited in the
Survey Office, at Auckland. Date of Governor's warrant,
13th April, 1882.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most
Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the
Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House,
at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of September,
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-three.

Regulations and Charges for Use of Telephones.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of September, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by "The Electric Telegraph Act, 1875," and "The
Electric Telegraph Act 1875 Amendment Act, 1880," and of
all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth, with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, hereby prescribe the fees and charges, and doth hereby
make the regulations contained in the Schedules A and B
hereto in relation to the use of the Government telephones
wherever established in this colony in connection with the
telephone exchanges and otherwise, and doth further order
and declare that such regulations shall take effect on and
after the first day of October, 1883, and shall supersede all
prior regulations made in relation to charges for the use of
telephones within the colony.
