of Korokoro Stream, to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary-line of Section No. 19 of Block
XII.; towards the South-west by a right line to that
boundary-line of Section No. 19, and by that section
to Section No. 78 of Block XIII; towards the West
by that section to the starting point: as the same is
delineated on the plan deposited in the Survey Office,
Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir

Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS a certain railway was proclaimed in
the New Zealand Gazette of the thirty-first
day of December, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-four, under the name of the Awamoko Rail-
way, and the said railway now forms the branch line
of railway from the main line (Waitaki-Bluff) to
Duntroon:
And whereas the two hundred and twenty-ninth
section of "The Public Works Act, 1882," enacts that
any public work authorized under the authority of
any Act repealed by this Act, or of any Act or Ordi-
nance repealed by "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
and any land required to be taken, purchased, or
acquired for such work, or anything commenced
under any such authority as aforesaid, may be con-
tinued, taken, purchased, or acquired, executed,
carried out, enforced, and completed under the pro-
visions of this Act:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required for a portion of the said branch
railway:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by virtue and in pursuance of the power conferred
upon him by the one hundred and thirtieth and
two hundred and twenty-ninth sections of "The
Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf,
doth hereby proclaim and declare that the said land
so described in the Schedule hereto is taken for the
said portion of the said branch railway.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 2 acres and 28 perches, more or less,
situate in the Papakaio Survey District, being por-
tions of Sections 109 and 110, Block III., com-
mencing at a point on the southern boundary of said
Section 109 distant 1257 links due east from the
south-west corner of said Section 109. Bounded on
the South by a road-line, 205 links; on the North-
east by other parts of Sections 109 and 110, 1687
links; on the West by other part of Section 109,
193 links; and on the South-west by railway land,
1405 links, to the point of commencement. Also all
that other piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 32 perches, more or less, situate in the
said survey district, being portion of said Section
109, Block III., commencing at a point distant 1159
links due north and 31 links due east from the south-
west corner of said Section 109. Bounded on the
North by other part of said Section 109, 205 links;
on the East by other part of Section 109, 193 links;
and on the South-west by railway land, 282 links, to
the point of commencement: the several parcels of
land being situate in the Provincial District of Otago,
and are more particularly delineated upon the plan
marked P.W.D. 9125, deposited in the office of the
Minister for Public Works at Wellington, in the
Provincial District of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon me by the twentieth
section of "The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act,
1879," I, James Prendergast, Chief Justice of the
Colony of New Zealand, and Administrator of the
Government thereof, do hereby set apart the land
enumerated in the Schedule hereto for sale as a
village settlement, upon such terms and conditions
as are set forth in an Order in Council of even date
herewith, and made under the twenty-first section of
the said Act.
