Gold Fields Notices.
Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Dunedin on or before
the 1st day of December, 1882.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Dunedin.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANTS: Henry Phillips and others. Style
under which it is intended to conduct the business:
"Don No. 2 Quartz-Mining Company." 16 acres, in
the Hindon Mining District.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this
second day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two.

Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.

Golden Crown Gold-Mining Company, Mokihinui, in
the Nelson South-West Mining District.
Applicants: Joseph Kelly and party. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Star
of the South Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres
2 roods, on the south side of Mokihinui River, and
west of and adjoining the Invincible lease, Moki-
hinui, in the Nelson South-West Mining District.
Given under my hand, at Nelson, this
fourth day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two.

NOTICE is hereby given that the gold-mining lease
applied for by Lachlan Kerr Grant, on the 5th
September, 1882, for the Golden Ridge Quartz-
Mining Company, viz., 16 acres, southern side of
Mokihinui, has been refused; and that the ground
(except the portion included in the application of
Frederick Ray and others, known as the Canoe
Quartz-Mining Company) is now open to persons
holding miners' rights or business licenses, as if a
lease of the said ground had not been applied for.
