WAIPAWA COUNTY.

HEREBY give notice that, in pusuance of the
powers granted by "The Public Works Act,
1876," the Waipawa County Council did, on the 12th
of October instant, declare the following road to be
a County Road within the meaning of the said Act,
viz.: The road known as the Great North Road,
from the point where it is crossed by the Lambert-
ford Road to the Waipawa River.

OTICE is hereby given that a Meeting of the
Shareholders in the Port Chalmers Building
and Paving Stone Quarry Company (Limited) will be
held in the office, 4, Exchange Court, Princes
Street, Dunedin, on the 13th November, 1882, at the
hour of 2 in the afternoon, when the following
resolution will be proposed: "That it has been
proved to the satisfaction of the Shareholders of the
Port Chalmers Building and Paving Stone Quarry
Company (Limited) that the Company cannot, by
reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and
that is advisable to wind up the same."

WELLINGTON AND MANAWATU RAILWAY COM-
PANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington
and Manawatu Railway Company (Limited)
are constructing a railway under "The Railways Con-
struction and Land Act, 1881," and have, in terms
of the 18th clause of the said Act, deposited for
public inspection in the Public Works Office, and the
office of the Company, in the City of Wellington,
and in the office of the Borough Council, Palmerston
North, a plan setting forth the middle line and direc-
tion of the railway, and a book of reference showing
the lands required to be taken for the portion of the
railway between the junction at Longburn with the
Foxton and New Plymouth Railway, and Section No.
64, Fitzherbert, and the names of the owners and
occupiers of such lands.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should
be made payable.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.
Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in
payment from any place at which post-office orders are issued.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com
mission at the rate of 5 per cent.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
in' each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the
Government Printer before 2 o'clock of the day preceding
publication.
