the authority of "The Public Domains Act, 1860,"
"The Public Domains Act, 1865," and "The Public
Reserves Act, 1877," certain powers were, in respect
of certain lands referred to in a further Order in
Council of the same date, made and issued under
"The Public Reserves Act, 1877," aforesaid, dele-
gated to Fulbert Archer, Phillip Bouverie Luxmore,
Herbert Belfield, Arthur Perry, and James Hutchison
Sutter: And whereas it is expedient to revoke the
said Order in Council owing to the death of Phillip
Bouverie Luxmore aforesaid, and to make another
delegation in lieu thereof:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Adminis-
trator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, by virtue and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by "The Public Domains
Act, 1881," and by and with the advice of the Execu-
tive Council of the said colony, do hereby revoke
the Order in Council delegating the Governor's
powers to the above-named persons; and do hereby
further delegate, in respect of the lands referred to
in the aforesaid Orders in Council, all the powers
conferred by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," except
the powers under or conferred by sections five and
twelve, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be
known as the Timaru Public Park and Garden Domain
Board:—

FULBERT ARCHER,
HERBERT BELFIELD,
ARTHUR PERRY,
JAMES HUTCHISON SUTTER, and
THOMAS WILLIAMSON HALL

(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,–

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of
    business on the first Friday in each month, at eleven
    o'clock a.m., at the Timaru Borough Council Office,
    or at such other time or place as may from time to
    time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall
    be held on Friday, the third day of November, one
    thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chair-
    man, or by any two members of the Board, provided
    that two days' notice of such meeting be given to
    each member, specifying the business to be transacted
    at such special meeting, and no other business than
    that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a
    quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time
    to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first
    meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be
    held on the second Monday in January in every suc-
    ceeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to
    be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and
    shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The
    Chairman shall hold office until the election of his
    successor.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present
    at the time appointed for holding the same, the mem-
    bers present shall choose some one of their number
    to be Chairman of such meeting.

  6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or other-
    wise, the office of Chairman shall be or become
    vacant, the members may at any monthly or special
    meeting appoint a Chairman.

  7. All questions shall be determined by the ma-
    jority of votes of the members of the Board present
    at a meeting.

St. Andrew Recreation-ground brought under "The
Public Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of October, 1882.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the twenty-fourth section of "The Public
Reserves Act, 1881," I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order
and declare that the reserve made for public recrea-
tion in the Provincial District of Canterbury, and
known as the St. Andrew Recreation-ground, and
described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the
same is hereby brought under the operation of and
declared to be subject to the provisions of "The
Public Domains Act, 1881;" and such domain shall
hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with
in manner directed by the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land situated near St. Andrew
Railway-station, in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by admeasurement 24 acres and 12
perches, be the same more or less, and bounded as
follows: On the West by a line fronting on a public
road; commencing at the north-western corner of
Rural Section No. 6230, bearing 2° 54', and running
a distance of 2511.4 links; thence on the North and
West by lines abutting on land in the occupation of
the County Council of Waimate, as a site for a public
pound, respectively bearing 100° 5' for a distance of
300 links, and 10° 5' for a distance of 330 links;
thence on the North by a line bearing 100° 5' for a
distance of 736.4 links; thence on the East by a line
abutting on the Railway Reserve, bearing 190° 5' for
a distance of 2730 links; and thence on the South
by a line abutting on Rural Section No. 6230, bearing
272° 54' for a distance of 729 links to the commencing
point.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," it is, inter alia, enacted
that the Governor, by Order in Council, may from
time to time delegate all or any of the powers by the
said Act conferred, save as is therein mentioned, to
any person or persons for any period, and subject to
such stipulations as may be specified in such order,
and that every such delegation may from time to time
in like manner be altered or revoked: And whereas
pursuant to "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," by
an Order in Council of even date herewith, the land
described in the Schedule thereto is declared to be
brought under the operation of and to be subject to
