A General Meeting of the Shareholders will be held
at the Liquidator's Offices, Ballarat Street,
Queenstown, at 2 p.m., on Monday, the 9th day of
October next.
Business: To inspect the Liquidator's balance-
sheet and the report why the Company could not be
wound up within the twelve months from passing
the resolution to wind up the Company, and also to
obtain instructions prior to adopting balance-sheet.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF REGISTERED OFFICE,
AND OF APPOINTMENT OF A NEW LEGAL
MANAGER.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Registered Office
of the Star of the East Quartz-Mining Com-
pany (Registered) has been changed from Cromwell,
in the Provincial District of Otago, to 148, Princes
Street, Dunedin; and that James Marshall, of Crom-
well, has ceased to be Legal Manager of the said
Company; and that GEORGE WATSON, of Dunedin
aforesaid, Accountant, has been appointed and is
now the Legal Manager of the said Company.
Given under the common seal of the said Company,
and signed by two of the Directors thereof, this 16th
day of August, 1882.

NOTICE OF TAKING LAND FOR PUBLIC WORKS
IN THE PARISH OF MAHURANGI.
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to "The Public
Works Act, 1876," and amendments, that the Lower
Mahurangi District Board propose to form a
new line of road, 100 links wide, from Allotment No.
82 of the Parish of Mahurangi to the Pukapuka land-
ing, and that a plan, showing the works proposed to
be executed and the lands required to be taken, is
deposited for inspection at the residence of Mr. John
Campbell, Te Kapa, Mahurangi Heads. The land
required to be taken comprises portion of Allotment
83 of the aforesaid parish, containing 3 roods; portion
of Allotment 115 of same parish, containing 2 acres
2 roods 18 perches; portion of Allotment 118 of
same parish, containing 4 acres 3 perches; portion of
Allotment 119 of same parish, containing 2 roods 24
perches.
All persons affected by the proposed road are here-
by called upon and required to set forth in writing
any well-grounded objections to the execution of such
works or to the taking of such lands, and to send
such writing within forty days from the first publica-
tion of this notice to the said Lower Mahurangi Dis-
trict Board, at Te Kapa, Mahurangi Heads aforesaid.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
heretofore subsisting between CHARLES HOLME
STUART and GEORGE HENRY MACKENZIE, at Puhia,
in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, as Sheep-
farmers, under the style of "Stuart and Mackenzie,"
has been dissolved as from the 19th day of January,
1882.

said Act.

payment from any place at which post-office orders are issued.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the
Government Printer before 2 o'clock of the day preceding
publication.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of 5 per cent.
