Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicant specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Westport on or before
the 12th day of September, 1882.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Westport.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: Christmas Eve No. 2 Gold-Mining Com-
pany (Limited). Style under which it is intended to
conduct the business: "Christmas Eve Gold-Mining
Company (Limited)." 16 acres 2 roods, east of and
adjoining the Christmas Eve leasehold, Buller, in the
Nelson South-West Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this ninth
day of August, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-two.

Applicant: Patrick Brennan. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "Lone Star
Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods, south of
and adjoining the Endeavour Gold-Mining lease,
Boatman's, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this
seventeenth day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two.

Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West Mining Dis-
trict.

Applicant: Joseph Kilgour. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The Royal
Standard Extended Quartz-Mining Company." 5
acres, east of and adjoining the Royal Standard,
Murray Creek, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-
West Mining District.

Applicant: John Butler. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "The Famous
Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods, bounded
on the South by Maori Gully, West by New Chum
Gully, Maori Gully, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-
West Mining District.

Applicant: Patrick McInerney. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "The
Stella Gold-Mining Company (Limited)." 16 acres
2 roods, north of and adjoining the Famous Gold-
Mining Company, Maori Gully, Inangahua, in the
Nelson South-West Mining District.
