564, 2 links; towards the South by other portion of
Allotment No. 565, 244 links; and towards the West
by Mackay Street, 4 links: as the same is delineated

ment 1/2 perch respectively, more or less, situated
and being portions of Allotment No. 564 of the Town

towards the North by the south side of Karaka
Creek, as shown on conveyances by Natives; towards

All that parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 1/2 perch, being the north-western portion of
Allotment No. 38 of Section No. 28. Bounded
towards the North by Allotment No. 62, 13 links;
towards the East by other portion of Allotment No.
38, 43 links; and towards the West by Queen Street,
45 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less;
and the several parcels of land being situate in the
Town of Shortland, Thames Survey District, Provin-
cial District of Auckland.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 3 1/2 perches, being the western portion of Allot-
ment No 62 of Section No. 28. Bounded towards
the North by Allotment No. 61, 41 links; towards
the East by other portion of Allotment No. 62, 100
links; towards the South by Allotment No. 38, 13
links; and towards the West by Queen Street, 103
links.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 8 perches, being the western portion of Allot-
ment No. 61 of Section No. 28. Bounded towards
the North by a line, 58 links; towards the East by
other portion of Allotment No. 61, 100 links; towards
the South by Allotment No. 62, 41 links; and towards
the West by Queen Street, 101 links.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 26 1/4 perches, being the western portion of a
piece of tapued ground lying to the west of Allot-
ment No. 60 of Section No. 28. Bounded towards
the North by a street, 58 links; towards the East
by a line, 281 links; towards the South by Allot-
ment No. 61, 53 links, and towards the West by
Queen Street, 281 links.

All the areas and measurements being either more
or less, and the several parcels of land being situate
in the Borough of the Thames, in the Thames Survey
District, Provincial District of Auckland, and being
more particularly delineated on the maps attached to
the memorials above referred to.

James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice,
the Administrator of the Government of
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the

"Contagious Diseases Act, 1869," brought into Force
in the City of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Contagious Diseases Act,
1869," it is, among other things, enacted that
the said Act shall extend and apply to such districts
as the Governor shall from time to time, by Procla-
mation published in the New Zealand Gazette, declare
to be subject to the provisions thereof, and the limits
of such districts shall, for the purposes of the said
Act, be such as are defined in such Proclamation:
And whereas it hath been represented to me that it is
expedient that the district hereinafter described
should be declared to be subject to the said Act as
hereinafter mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Admin-
istrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
proclaim and declare that, from and after the day of
the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette,
all that district within the Provincial District of
Auckland, which is hereinafter particularly defined,
shall be subject to the provisions of the said Act;
and, in further pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority vested in me by the said Act, I do
hereby define the limits of the said district, for the
purposes of the said Act, as follows:β€”

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Town Districts Act, 1881"
(hereinafter called "the said Act"), it is,
among other things, enacted that the inhabitants of
any locality not constituted a borough under "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," wherein there
are not less than fifty householders, may apply by
petition to the Governor praying that such locality
may be constituted a town district under the said Act;
and that no such locality shall exceed two square
