western side of the Auckland and Waikato Railway;
towards the South-west by the western side of the
railway aforesaid to the northern angle of Allotment
No. 93 of the Settlement of Kerikeri aforesaid, and
by that lot to its south-eastern corner; thence by a
line in continuation of the south-east boundary of
said Allotment No. 93 to Hunua Road; thence by
that road and the Great South Road to Union Street;
thence by Union Street to East Street, and by East
Street to Elliott Street, and thence by Elliott Street
to the waters of the Manukau Harbour; and towards
the West by the waters of the Manukau Harbour
aforesaid to the road which forms the western boun-
dary of Allotment No. 14 of Section No. 6 of the
Town of Papakura; thence by that road to the road
which forms the south-western boundaries of Allot-
ments Nos. 16, 14, and 12 of Section No. 8, also of
the Town of Papakura, and continuing along the last-
described road to the road which forms the north-
western boundary of Allotment No. 12, last named;
and thence following that road to the place of inter-
section of the north-western boundary of Allotment
No. 13, by the Auckland and Waikato Railway, first
mentioned, the place of commencement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Municipal Corporations
Act, 1876," section twenty-one, it is enacted
that, if not less than one-fourth of the burgesses of
a borough petition the Governor, praying him to
divide such borough into wards, the Governor may,
by Proclamation, divide such borough into not less
than three nor more than six wards, and shall in such
Proclamation assign such names and boundaries to
each ward as he thinks fit: And whereas not less
than one-fourth of the burgesses of the Borough of
Timaru have petitioned me to divide such borough
into wards:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Admin-
istrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the herein-
before recited authority, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the Borough of Timaru, as described in
the First Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is
hereby divided into four wards, having the names
mentioned in the first column of the Second Schedule
hereto; and the boundaries of such wards shall be
those set forth in the second column of the said
Schedule opposite the name of each ward respectively.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, bounded towards the North by Whale's Creek;
SECOND SCHEDULE.
