Water-race and divert water for domestic and
irrigation purposes; the race to commence at a point
on a branch of the stream known as the March Creek,
situated on Section 33, Block IX., of the Strath Taieri
Survey District, and to be carried thence through
Section 32, Block IX, of the same survey district,
and through that part of the said Section 32 presently
from thence across or under a district road running
through the Strath Taieri Plain in the direction of
north and south, or nearly so; from thence through
Section 71, Block IX., across or under another district
road running east and west, or nearly so, through the
Township of Middlemarch into Section 39, Block IX.;
from thence through Section 50, Block IX., into
Section 53, Block IX, crossing the district road, run-
ning east and west, or nearly so, a second time; from
thence back into the original stream at a point about
250 yards from its junction with the Taieri River,
Total length, about 24 miles.
Mean depth, about 2 feet.
Mean width, 18 inches at bottom, and 2 feet 6 inches
at top; and it is proposed to divert and carry ten
Government-heads of water.
Time required for completion, six months.
