ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of July, 1882.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the thirty-ninth section of "The
Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that it shall be
lawful for the Land Board, subject to the approval
of the Governor, and at any time and from time to
time, to declare, by notice in the Gazette, that any
land not already classified shall belong to either of
the classes referred to in the thirty-eighth section of
the said Act; and also that any land shall cease to
belong to either of the said classes: Provided that no
land which has been declared to be town or suburban
land shall cease to belong to such classes respectively
without the consent previously obtained of the
Governor in Council:
And whereas the Land Board of Otago is desirous
of declaring that the land specified in the Schedule
hereto, which has been heretofore classed as town
land, shall cease to belong to such class, and shall be
classed as suburban land:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the said
Act, doth hereby consent to the Land Board afore-
said declaring that the land specified in the Schedule
hereto shall cease to be classed as town land, and
doth hereby approve and consent to the said Board
declaring that such land shall be classed as suburban
land.

Amending Order in Council under "The Public
Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of July, 1882.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," it is enacted that the
Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time
delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act
conferred, except the powers conferred by section five
and the said section twelve, to any person or persons
or body corporate for any period, and subject to such
stipulations as may be specified in such order, and
every such delegation may from time to time in like
manner be altered or revoked:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor, by
Order in Council made on the twenty-ninth day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two,
did delegate certain powers conferred by "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," to certain persons therein men-
tioned, subject to certain stipulations therein specified:
And whereas one of the stipulations specified in
such Order in Council was that the first meeting of
the Board should be held on Monday, the nineteenth
day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two, at the Customhouse and Post Office Buildings,
Auckland, in a room therein called "Ministers'-room:"
And whereas the Board were unable to comply
with the foregoing stipulation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth, by this present order, amend the said
Order in Council of the twenty-ninth day of May, so
far as the date of the first meeting of the Board is
concerned, and doth hereby order and declare that
the first meeting of the Board constituted by the
Order in Council of the twenty-ninth day of May
aforesaid shall be held on Wednesday, the second
day of August next, at the place already appointed;
and it is hereby ordered and declared that the
subsequent meetings of the Board shall be held at
such time and place as the Board may from time to
time appoint.

Extension of Time for Preparation of Valuation
Roll, Te Puke Highway District, County of Tau-
ranga.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of July, 1882.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that
certain things required to be done by "The
Rating Act, 1876," in connection with the prepara-
tion and revision of the valuation roll of the Te
Puke Highway District, cannot be done by or within
the times mentioned in the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
in exercise of the powers vested in him by the said
"Rating Act, 1876," and by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony
doth hereby extend the times for doing the said.
