NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY FOR A WATER-
RACE ALREADY CONSTRUCTED.
To the Mining Registrar, also to the Warden at
Arrow, in the Mining District of Otago Gold
Fields, and to all others whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to apply, for other
than gold-mining purposes, to wit, for farm,
station, and machinery purposes, for a Water-race
situated 10 yards below Cook's old race in Swift-
thorn Creek, near Cardrona Track, Crown Terrace,
and terminating at Lang's Terrace, north side of
Kawaru, and formerly held under certificate No.
375, and date 23rd November, 1880, the last renewal
being dated 17th January, 1882, No. 6125. Under
the provisions of subsection 1 of section 31 of
"The Mines Act, 1877."
The length of such race is about two miles, and
course nearly south. Mean depth of race 2 feet,
and breadth 1 foot 6 inches. The race contains
about two heads of water.
Dated at Arrowtown, this 8th day of June, 1882.

register the Werahiko Gold-Mining Company
as a Limited Company under the provisions of "The
Mining Companies Act, 1872."
- The name of the Company is to be the Werahiko Gold-
Mining Company (Limited). - The place of intended operations is at Te Aroha.
- The registered office of the Company will be situated at
Shortland Street, Auckland. - The nominal capital of the Company is thirty thousand
pounds, in thirty thousand shares of one pound each. - The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-seven
thousand nine hundred and forty, being not less than two-
thirds of the entire number of shares in the Company. - The number of paid-up shares is nil.
- The amount already paid up is nil.
- The name of the Manager is Francis Angus White.
