Description of Land.—Open land.

NOTE.—Plan of the above lands may be seen on
application at this office, at the Land Offices, Tau-
ranga and Gisborne; at the offices of the County
Councils, Tauranga and Whakatane; and at all the
principal Land Offices in the colony.

Terms of sale: One-fourth of purchase-money to
be paid at time of sale, and the balance within one
month thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-
money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and
the contract for the sale of the land shall hence-
forward be null and void.

Crown-grant fee to be paid on completion of pur-
chase.

Gold Fields Notices.

Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it
is intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such leases.

Objections to the granting of such leases, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or before
the 20th day of July, 1882.

Copy of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Reefton.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: Thomas Lee. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "Jersey Quartz-
Mining Company (Limited)." 16 acres 2 roods, com-
mencing from Trig. Station O, at the south-west
corner peg, Murray Creek, Inangahua, in the Nelson
South-West Mining District.

Applicant: Thomas Lee. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business : "Inangahua
Valley Quartz-Mining Company (Limited)." 16 acres
2 roods, west of the Arran Company's lease appli-
cation, Murray Creek, Inangahua, in the Nelson
South-West Mining District.

Applicant: William Hindmarsh. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Cos-
mopolitan Gold-Mining Company (Limited)." 16
acres 2 roods, west of and adjoining our former appli-
cation, Murray Creek, Inangahua, in the Nelson
South-West Mining District.

which it is intended to conduct the business: "Chester

south of the Murray Creek Company's application,
