THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
"The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," and upon
the request of the governing bodies of the several
religious denominations named in the second column
of the Schedule hereto, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
permanently appropriate and set apart the portions
of the public cemetery known as the Kaikoura
Suburban Public Cemetery, being Section number two
hundred and sixty-eight, as delineated on the official
map in the Survey Office, Blenheim, and described
in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the
exclusive interment of the bodies of members of the
religious denomination named in the second column
of the Schedule aforesaid, opposite to the descrip-
tion of each portion of the said cemetery respectively,
upon such terms and conditions as the Trustees, who
were appointed by warrant under my hand, dated
the twentieth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one, may require to be performed
and observed: Provided that such terms and con-
ditions are not inconsistent with the known tenets
or usages of the religious denominations named.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Nelson Highways Act, 1872," and "The Abolition
of Provinces Act, 1875," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the
date hereof, the Richmond Highway District shall be
divided into two sub-districts, with the names and
boundaries set forth in the Schedule hereto; and do
apportion the number of members for the said high-
way district between the said sub-districts, as shown
in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
STOKE SUBDIVISION.---TWO MEMBERS.
ALL that area in Waimea County, bounded towards
the North by the City of Nelson from the ocean to
the northern corner of Section No. 18; and thence
by a right line produced in the same direction as the
northern boundary of said section for about two
miles; towards the South-east by a right line bearing
S. 45Β° W. until it is intersected by a right line, being
the north-east boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 77,
75, 76, and 99 produced in a south-easterly direction;
thence towards the South-west by said produced line
and by Sections Nos. 99, 76, 75, and 77 to Tasman
Bay; and on the North-west by Tasman Bay.
RICHMOND SUBDIVISION--FOUR MEMBERS.
Bounded towards the North-east by the Stoke
Subdivision, hereinbefore described; towards the
South-east by the production of the south-eastern
boundary-line of Stoke Subdivision to the River Lee
at Section No. 25; towards the South-west by the
Lee River, the Roding River, the Wairoa River, and
the Waimea River; and towards the North by Tasman
Bay: as the same is delineated on the plans deposited
in the Survey Office, Nelson.

Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
