Area of which the Purpose is intended to be Changed. Intended Purpose.
All that parcel of land in the Rol-leston Survey District, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing 5 acres, more or less. Bounded-Westward by Section No. 3084; Southward by Bealey's Road, 1200 links; Eastward by a line at right angles thereto, 500 links; and Northward by a line parallel to the southern boundary and numbered 2538 (in red) on the official map in the Survey Office, Christchurch. For a cemetery.

Defining the Purpose of a Reserve.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-ninth day of April, 1882.

Present:

THE HONORABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are now vested in Her Majesty, being
lines of road which were closed by a Proclamation
dated the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-eight, issued under the hand
of his Honor James Macandrew, the Superintendent
of the Province of Otago, in pursuance of the powers
conferred upon him by "The Roads Diversion
Ordinance, 1868," and "The Roads Diversion Ordi-
nance, 1871," respectively: And whereas it is de-
sirable that the lands should be dealt with as provided
by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881:"

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon me by the fourth section
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," and all other
powers and authorities enabling me on that behalf,
do hereby declare and define that the purposes for
which the said lands shall, from and after the day of
the date hereof, be dedicated shall be for a public
highway.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Caversham Borough, Provincial
District of Otago, containing by admeasurement
1 acre and 32 perches, more or less, being a road-line
situate in Block VII., Town District. Bounded
towards the North-east by Section No. 41, 1940
links, more or less, and by a district road (now
called Kennedy Road), 60 links, more or less;
towards the South-east by a district road, 60 links,
more or less; towards the South-west by Sections
Nos. 49, 48, 47, and 46, 2000 links, more or less;
and towards the North-west by a district road (now
called Macandrew Road), 60 links, more or less: as
the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
in the Survey Office, Dunedin.

East by Sections Nos. 25 and 26, Irregular Block,
East Taieri, and Sections Nos. 32, 31, and 18, Block
VII., Dunedin and East Taieri District, 6200 links,
more or less; and towards the South and West by
other portions of Sections Nos. 31 and 32, and 2
of 33, 6250 links, more or less.

Terms of Sale of Reserve No. 143, Waimate Survey
District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-ninth day of April, 1882.

Present:

THE HONORABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves Sale Act,
1878," it is, among other things, enacted that
the lands described in the Schedule may at any time
after the passing of the said Act be sold by the
Governor, upon such terms as shall be regulated by
Order in Council: And whereas the lands described
in the Schedule are required to be sold as land of
special value, and it is expedient that the terms of
such sale should be defined:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and
authorities aforesaid, do hereby order and direct that
the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be
sold upon the following terms, that is to say,-
