BOROUGH OF INVERCARGILL.

In the matter of an intended Bill intituled "The
Invercargill Streets Alignment Bill, 1882," to
define the legal building frontages and sides of the
streets in the Town of Invercargill, according to
the lines laid down by Mr. Thomas Mabin, by the
direction of the Inspector of Surveys at Inver-
cargill.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Coun-
cillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Inver-
cargill, incorporated under the provisions of "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," intend to present
a petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand,
at the next session, praying for leave to introduce a
Bill to be intituled "The Invercargill Streets Align-
ment Bill, 1882," for the purpose of defining the
legal building frontages or sides of the streets in the
Town of Invercargill, according to certain distances
respectively, from the lines laid down in the said
streets, in the year 1874, by Mr. Thomas Mabin,
formerly of Invercargill, Surveyor, by the direction
of the Inspector of Surveys for the time being of the
District of Southland, and marked by stones in the
said streets. And notice is further given that the
said Bill shall contain a provision for permitting
buildings or fences which now encroach on the streets,
the frontages whereof are so defined, to remain un-
disturbed, but the re-erection of such buildings or
fences shall be in conformity with lines so laid down.
And notice is hereby further given that copies of the
said intended Bill will be deposited in the office of
the Examiner of Standing Orders on the seventeenth
day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two.

IN THE MATTER OF THE DANIEL'S No. 1 REEFING
COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.

A SCHEDULE of the Assets and Liabilities of
this Company, showing the amount of moneys
available for the claims in the matter of the winding
up, and the proposed plan of distribution thereof, is
open for inspection by the creditors of and contribu-
tors to the said Company, at the office of the Liqui-
dator, Palmerston Street, Riverton; and the claims
as mentioned in the schedule will, after the lapse of
twenty-one days from the twentieth day of April,
next, be paid at the said office.

NASEBY WATERWORKS COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to a
regulation in terms of article five (5) of the
Articles of Association of the Company, an Extra-
ordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders will
be held at their registered office, Earn Street, Naseby,
on Thursday, the 27th April, 1882, at the hour of

8 o'clock in the evening, and that the purposes
for which such meeting is to be held are as follow,
that is to say: To confirm the action of the Directors
in disposing of the Company's plant and works to
the Corporation of Naseby, and to take such action
as may be necessary to voluntarily wind up the
Company; to appoint a Liquidator or Liquidators to
receive all moneys due the Company, with full power
to do all and everything that may be necessary in
voluntarily winding up the Company, and disburse
336 assets in proportion to each share; to transact all
other business of which notice may be given by any
Shareholder, by leaving a copy of the resolution to
be proposed by him at the registered office of the
Company not less than three days before the day of
the meeting.

EDWARD CHARLES FOOT, Bachelor of Medicine,
I, Trinity College Dublin, and Licentiate of the
Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland, residing in
Dunedin, hereby give notice of my intention to have
my name registered as a Medical Practitioner under
"The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869," one month
after the publication of this notice; and that I have
deposited my diploma, with a copy of this notice, in
the office of the Registrar for the District of Dun-
edin, for public inspection, in terms of section 14 of
the said Act.

To the Mining Registrar of the Mount Ida District,
Naseby.

TAKE notice that, being the holder of water license
No. 1821, dated 17th November, 1881, for irri-
gation, machinery, and domestic purposes, I desire to
construct two reservoirs (or dams) in connection
therewith for the storage of water. These dams will
be situated near the line of race at a point about 10
chains on the north side of Section 18, Block II.,
Eweburn Run, Maniototo Survey District, on the
west side of main race No. 1. Dam: Length at base,
about 300 feet; breadth, 12 feet; height, 6 feet;
area, about acre. No. 2 dam, immediately above
No. 1 dam: Length, 150 feet; breadth, 12 feet;
height, 6 feet; area, about acre. In connection
with these dams I desire to construct three small
branch races-No. 1, about 300 feet in length; No.
2, about 150 feet in length; No. 3, about 300 feet in
length-for the purpose of leading water from main
race to the dams and returning same to main race.
These races will average about 2 feet broad and 1
foot deep. And in connection with my main race I
hereby give notice that I desire to construct two
other branch races: No. 1 to commence about 5
chains below the Government Water-race, on the
west side of Chain Gully, and terminate in my race
1821; No. 2 race to commence in my main race
1821, on the west side of Chain Gully, about a mile
above said Section 18, Block II., to cross Chain
Gully, pass through said Section 18, Block II., on
tion 17, same block. Length of No. 1 race, about
2 miles; breadth, 2 feet; depth, 1 foot. Length of
No. 2 race, about 2 miles; breadth, 18 inches;
depth, 1 foot. Estimated time for construction, nine
months.
