Hen-Pheasants not to be shot within the County
of Tauranga.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
WHEREAS by a warrant made under “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” dated the twenty-ninth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirtieth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, it was notified that pheasants and Californian and Australian quail might be taken or killed within the Auckland District: And whereas it is expedient that cock-pheasants and Californian and Australian quail, but not hen-pheasants, should be taken or killed within the County of Tauranga:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in me by the said “Animals Protection Act, 1880,” do hereby notify that cock-pheasants only and Californian and Australian quail may be taken or killed in the said County of Tauranga under the conditions set forth in the above-recited warrant.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.

Alteration in Amount of Fee for Shooting Imported Game, Hawke’s Bay.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
WHEREAS by a warrant under “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” dated the twenty-ninth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirtieth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, it was notified that licenses to take or kill game in the Hawke’s Bay District should be issued on payment of the sum of fifty shillings each: And whereas it is expedient to alter the amount to be paid for such licenses:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in me by the said “Animals Protection Act, 1880,” do hereby notify that licenses to take or kill game in the Hawke’s Bay District, during the period mentioned in the above-recited warrant, shall be issued on payment of the sum of thirty shillings each.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.
