from such places and during such times as should be | to register, under "The Trade Marks Act, 1866," the
set forth in such Proclamation: And whereas by | trade marks of which the following is a description,
another Act of the said Parliament passed in a | viz.:--
session held in the twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth
years of the reign of Her said Majesty, No. 19,
intituled "An Act to amend the Laws relating to the
Customs," it is, amongst other things, enacted that,
if any goods enumerated or described in the table of
prohibitions in the thirty-fourth section of the said
Act shall be imported or brought into the Province
of South Australia, then, and in every such case, such
goods shall be forfeited, or destroyed, or otherwise
disposed of, as the Treasurer may direct: And
whereas in the said table of prohibitions of goods
absolutely prohibited to be imported are included
infected cattle, sheep, or other animals, and hides,
skins, horns, hoofs, or other part of cattle or other
animals, which the Governor in Council may prohibit,
in order to prevent any infectious or contagious
distemper or disease: And whereas by a Proclama-
tion in the Government Gazette, on the tenth day of
July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine,
the introduction or importation into the Province of
South Australia of horned cattle, sheep, and pigs,
shipped at any place or places beyond the limits of
the Australian Colonies (save and except cattle,
sheep, swine, and goats shipped from Great Britain,
Ireland, the United States of America, and Canada,
shipped at Timor to be landed in the Northern
Territory), was prohibited until the said Proclamation
should be revoked in the Government Gazette: And
whereas disease is known to exist in cattle, sheep,
and swine, in divers places beyond the limits of the
Australian Colonies, and it is expedient to continue
the prohibition until further order herein: Now,
therefore, I, the said Governor, in pursuance of the
provisions of the above-recited Acts, and of all other
powers me enabling, and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said province, do
hereby revoke, annul, and make void the aforesaid
Proclamation published on the tenth day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, and in
lieu thereof I do hereby absolutely prohibit the
introduction or importation into the Province of
South Australia of horned cattle, sheep, or pigs,
shipped in Great Britain, or Ireland, or at any
place or places beyond the limits of the
Australian Colonies (save and except cattle, sheep,
swine, and goats shipped from the United States of
America and Canada; and also save and except
cattle, sheep, and swine shipped at Timor, to be
landed in the Northern Territory): And I further
order and direct that this Proclamation shall take
effect from the date hereof, and shall continue in full
force and effect until the same is revoked by
Proclamation in the aforesaid Gazette.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of
the said Province, at Adelaide, this twenty-
third day of November, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-one, and in the forty-fifth year of
Her Majesty's reign.

Patent Agent, of Melbourne, in the Colony of
Victoria, has applied, on behalf of PACKHAM AND
COMPANY (LIMITED), of No. 16, Katherine Street,
Croydon, in England, Mineral Water Manufacturers,

Description of Trade Marks.
No. 1 consists of the special and distinctive word
"Hedozone," with a facsimile of the signature
"Packham & Co." diagonally across such word,
thus:--

No. 2 consists of the representation of a still
enclosed within a double-line oval border, across
which, and also enclosing said representation, is a
double-line oblong border, the centre of top and
bottom of which is arched, thus:--

Nature of the Article to which it is intended such
Trade Marks shall apply.
As to No. 1: In respect of fermented liquors and
spirits, and mineral and aërated waters, natural and
artificial, including ginger-beer.

"The Trade Marks Act, 1866," the trade mark of
which the following is a description, viz. :–

Two circles joined by a single line with the letters
HB above, and the word "Simplex" below the line.

Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such
Trade Mark shall apply.
Agricultural machinery, and parts of such ma-
chinery, such as steam-engines for ploughing, ploughs,
harrows, scarifiers, rollers, horse-rakes, haymakers,
mowers, reapers, and sheaf-binders.
