the deferred-payment system:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the
aforesaid recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the above-named Acts, do hereby
revoke the Proclamation above referred to, so far as
it relates to the sections therein mentioned and
included in the Schedule hereto, and do proclaim
and declare that the said sections are hereby with-
drawn from the operation of the deferred-payment
system.

EARNSLAW DISTRICT.
SECTIONS 1, 2, 5, and 6, Block I.

Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
eighteenth day of April, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-two.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
-
That all Her Majesty's subjects shall, at all
reasonable times, and upon payment of the proper
dues, have free and full liberty to use the above-
mentioned wharf, and of ingress and egress thereon. -
That Her Majesty or the Governor, and all
officers in the Government service, acting in the
execution of their duty, shall at all times have free
ingress, passage, and egress into, through, and out of
the wharf without payment. -
That the said Town Board shall maintain and
keep the above-mentioned wharf and all erections
thereon in good order and repair, and shall at all
times permit to be erected and exhibited therefrom
any lights for the guidance of vessels, and shall
maintain at its own cost any such lights: Provided
that no light shall be exhibited until after it has been
approved of by the Marine Department. -
That any person authorized by the Minister
having charge of the Marine Department, or any
officer acting with his approval, may at all reasonable
times enter upon the said wharf and any buildings
erected thereon, and view the state of repairs thereof;
and that, upon his leaving at the last known address
of the said Board a notice in writing of any defect or
want of repair in such wharf or buildings, requiring
it, within a reasonable time to be therein prescribed,
to repair the same, the said Board shall, with all con-
venient speed, cause such defect to be removed or
such repairs to be made. -
That the said Board will not erect or suffer to
be erected on the said wharf any building or structure
whatever, except with the consent of the Marine
Department. -
That nothing herein contained shall authorize
the said Board to do or cause to be done anything
repugnant to or inconsistent with any law relating to
the Customs, or any regulation of the Commissioner
of Customs, or with any provisions of "The Harbours
Act, 1878," or its amendments, or any regulations
thereunder.
Vesting the Management of the Raglan Wharf in
the Raglan Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
fifteenth day of April, 1882.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
W HEREAS by section fourteen of "The Har-
bours Act, 1878," it is enacted that the
Governor in Council may vest the management of
any wharf the property of Her Majesty in any local
governing body or person upon such terms and
conditions as the Governor in Council thinks fit:
And whereas it is thought desirable to vest the wharf
at Raglan in the Raglan Town Board, on the terms
and conditions hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the colony, and in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in him
by the said fourteenth section of "The Harbours
Act, 1878," and of all other powers and authorities in
anywise enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby vest
the management of the Raglan Wharf in the Raglan
Town Board, subject to the conditions set forth in
the First Schedule hereto; and doth hereby, in pur-
suance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in him by the seventeenth section of the said
Act, prescribe that the dues and rates to be taken
by the Raglan Town Board for the use of the said
wharf shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule
hereto: Provided always that the rights hereby
granted shall only be for the period of fourteen
years, and this Order in Council may at any time be
altered, modified, or revoked.
7. That the rights, powers, and privileges conferred
by this Order in Council shall continue in force for
fourteen years, computed from the date of this Order
in Council, unless in the meantime altered, modified,
or revoked.
- That the rights, powers, and privileges con-
ferred under or by virtue of this Order in Council
may be at any time resumed by the Governor, on
giving to the said Board six calendar months' notice
in writing. Any such notice shall be sufficient if
given by the Governor or the Minister having charge
of the Marine Department, or any person acting
under his or their instructions, and delivered at the
last known address of the said Board, its successors,
administrators, or assigns. No compensation or
allowance shall be payable in such case.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
For every vessel not exceeding 10 tons register
hauling alongside the wharf, for every ton
register, per day or part of a day
For every vessel exceeding 10 tons register,
per day or part of a day, per ton register,
for first 10 tons
Ditto, for every ton above 10 tons...
For goods of every description, or other articles
landed or placed upon the wharf for delivery
(i.e., imported), for every ton or part of ton
For each horse, ass, mule, and neat cattle
landed or placed on wharf
For every 100 feet of timber, ditto
For every 100 shingles, ditto
For every 100 palings, ditto
For every 100 posts and rails, ditto
