SCHEDULE.
NELSON.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 8 perches, be the same more or less, situated in the Land District of Nelson, being Section No. 2, Block III., Waitakere Survey District. Bounded as follows: On the Northward, 273·8 links by Crown land; on the North-eastward, 407·6 links, by a reserve along the bank of the River Nile; on the South-eastward, 480·8 links, by a reserve along the bank of the River Nile; on the Eastward, 10 links, by a reserve along the bank of the River Nile, partly by the River Nile, and, 60 links, by a public road; on the Southward, 147·6 links, by a public road; and on the Westward, 499·2 links, by Crown land. As a wharf reserve.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre, be the same more or less, situated in the Land District of Nelson, being Section No. 38, Block XI., Reefton Survey District. Bounded as follows: On the North-eastward, 333·3 links, and on the South-eastward, 325·8 links, by Section No. 23; on the South-westward, 337·3 links, by a road reserve along the bank of Boatman's Creek; and on the North-westward, 274·2 links, by a public road. As a site for a school.
OTAGO.
All these separate parcels of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement a total acreage of 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, situate in the Township of Kaitangata:—
Firstly. All that portion to the west of Water Street opposite Blocks XXXIV., XXIII., and XXIV. of said town, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the West and North-west by the Kaitangata Creek, 1800 links; and towards the North-east by Water Street, 1600 links.
Secondly. All that portion to the west of Water Street opposite Blocks XXV. and XXVI. of said town, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less. Bounded towards the West and North-west by the Kaitangata Creek, 1000 links; and towards the North-east and South-east by Water Street, 950 links.
Thirdly. All that portion to the west of Water Street opposite Block XXVII. of said town, containing by admeasurement 12 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the West and North-west by the Kaitangata Creek, 350 links; and towards the South-east by Water Street, 340 links.
Fourthly. All that portion to the west of Water Street opposite Block XXVIII. of said town, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 20 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the South-west, West, and North-west by the Kaitangata Creek, 800 links; and towards the South-east by Water Street, 450 links.
Fifthly. All that portion to the west of Water Street opposite Block XXIX. of said town, containing by admeasurement 8 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the South-west, West, and North-west by the Kaitangata Creek, 300 links; and towards the South-east by Water Street, 220 links.
Sixthly. All that portion to the west of Water Street opposite Blocks XXIX. and XXX. of said town, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less. Bounded towards the South-west, West, and North-west by the Kaitangata Creek, 950 links; towards the North-east by Water Street, 830 links; and towards the South-east by Water Street, 30 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For the improvement and protection of the Kaitangata Creek,
SOUTHLAND.
All that parcel of land situate in the Southland Division of the Provincial District of Otago, containing 2 roods 7 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 3 and 4, Block I., Township of Oban, Stewart Island. Bounded towards the North-east by Elgin Terrace, 201 links; towards the South-east by Section No. 5 of aforesaid block, 261·4 links; towards the South-west by Sections Nos. 6 and 21 of aforesaid block, 200 links; and towards the North-west by Section No. 2 of aforesaid block, 284·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school site.

Regulations under "The Mines Act, 1877," for Depasturing Stock on Portions of the Nelson South-West Gold Fields.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the fifty-first section of "The Mines Act, 1877," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations for depasturing stock upon the portions of the Nelson South-West Mining District described in the First Schedule to these regulations.
REGULATIONS.
Interpretation.
- In these regulations the words "great cattle," excepting in clause 4, shall be construed to mean and include horned cattle and horses, male and female, and the offspring thereof above six months' old, and the words "small cattle" shall be construed to mean sheep, male and female, and the weaned offspring thereof; and the word "district" shall mean all and any one of the districts described in the First Schedule hereto, and every other district within which these regulations may hereafter from time to time be proclaimed.
Residents may obtain Licenses.
- Any person resident within the County of Grey may run cattle within the boundaries of either of the districts hereinafter described in the First Schedule hereto on obtaining a depasturage license under these regulations.
Mode of Application.
- Persons desirous of obtaining a depasturage license must lodge with the local Land Officer at Ahaura an application in writing in the form contained in the Second Schedule hereto, and deposit therewith the fees payable under these regulations.
License Fees payable annually in Advance.
- The fees payable annually in advance under these regulations shall be—
For every head of great cattle other than horses ... ... 5 0
Horses, each ... ... 10 0
For every head of small cattle ... 2 0
Licensing Period.
- The licensing period shall be from the 1st January to the 31st December in each year, provided always that for licenses issued after the 30th June only half-fees shall be charged.
