MIKONUI RIVER.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 150 acres, more or less, situated in
Blocks I. and V. on the map of the Totara Survey
District. Bounded towards the North and East by
overflow channel and foot of terrace; and towards
the West by road reserved along the Mikonui River.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Christ-
church, this sixth day of March, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two.

Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Otago.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of "The
Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from
time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural
lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall
think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred
payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day
on which the land shall be open for application; and
that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on
deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may
be recommended by any Land Board, and may also
from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such
Proclamation:

And whereas the Land Board of Otago did, on
the eighth day of February, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two, pass a resolution recom-
mending that the land described in the Schedule
hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on
deferred payments:

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the
aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said
land accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the power and authority vested
in me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments;
and that Thursday, the thirteenth day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, shall be the
day on which the said land shall be open for appli-
cation at the Land Office at Dunedin, in allotments
as surveyed and marked on the selection maps in that
office.

And, further, in pursuance of the fifth section of
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," I do
hereby fix the price at which the land so described

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Neglected and Criminal
Children Act, 1867," it is enacted that it
shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any pro-
vince to establish industrial schools for the purposes
of the said Act: And whereas by "The Abolition of
Provinces Act, 1875," all the powers, duties, and func-
tions vested in or to be exercised or performed by
the Superintendent of any province are now vested
in and are to exercised by the Governor:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim all that piece or parcel of land containing
by admeasurement twenty-nine acres two roods
twenty-three perches, more or less, situate at Kohi-
marama, in the Parish of Waitemata, in the Pro-
vincial District of Auckland, and being part of Lot
thirty-two, in the said Parish of Waitemata, with all
the buildings thereon erected, which land and build-
ings have been lately occupied as a naval training
school, to be an industrial school within the meaning
of the said "Neglected and Criminal Children Act,
1867."

Given under the hand of His Excellency the

Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
