Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such leases.
Objections to the granting of such leases, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or be-
fore the 15th day of March, 1882.
Copy of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Reefton.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: Edwin Ashton. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "The Prophet."
16 acres 2 roods, west of the Golden Treasure claim,
including ground formerly held by the Ajax Com-
pany, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West Mining
District.
Applicant: Alfred Smith. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "Catherine Gold-
Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods, in a gully
known as Healy's Gully, 1Β½ miles east of Murray
Creek, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West Mining
District.
Applicant: William Hindmarsh. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Stone-
wall Jackson Gold-Mining Company (Limited)." 16
acres 2 roods, west of the Colorado application, Boat-
man's Creek, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.
Applicant: Gerald Perotti. Style under which it
is intended to conduct the business: "Fortune Gold-
Mining Company." 11 acres, east of and adjoining
Dauntless special claim, Murray Creek, Inangahua,
in the Nelson South-West Mining District.
