Gold-Mining Lease cancelled.

Wellington, 31st January, 1882.
IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the
Governor has been pleased to pronounce the
under-mentioned gold-mining lease cancelled, and
that the ground is now open for application as if no
lease of the said ground had ever been applied for :-
Alexander Davidson; 5 acres, District of Charles-
ton, Nelson South-West Gold Fields. No. 726.

Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that
it is intended to grant leases of Crown lands for
gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in
the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such leases.
Objections to the granting of such leases, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Clyde on or before
the first Court-day of March, 1882.
Copy of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Clyde.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: Arnold Sturm. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "Deep Valley
Creek Company." 16 acres, in the Dunstan Mining
District.
Applicants: Charles Nicholson, John Fry Kitching,
Charles Baker, Alexander McDonald, James Carle
Nicholson, William Carle Nicholson, Theodore
Kitching, and Thomas McDowell. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "The
Alpine Quartz Reef Company." 16 acres, in the
Dunstan Mining District.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this thirtieth
day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two.

agricultural lease has been declared cancelled,
and that the land referred to is now open for applica-
tion and occupation as if no lease of the same had
