The length of such race is three miles or there-
abouts, and its intended course is east and west.
The mean depth of such principal race is 2 feet, and
the mean breadth is 6 feet; and of the branch race,
depth 2 feet, breadth 1 foot 6 inches; and it is pro-
posed to divert thirty Government-heads of water
in the principal race, and four Government-heads of
water in the ana branch. The time required for the
construction and completion of such race is twelve
months.

GOLDEN RIDGE QUARTZ-MINING COMPANY

A T an extraordinary meeting of the above Com-
pany, on the 25th January (adjourned from the
14th), was resolved that the capital of the Com-
pany be increased by issuing 4,000 new shares of £1
