along the centre of the said Wangaehu River to a
point in line with the north-western boundary-line of
Section No. 245, Block V., Wangaehu Survey Dis-
trict; thence to the north-west corner of the said
Section No. 245; thence westerly in a straight line
to the eastern corner of the Waikupa Native Reserve;
thence north-westerly along the north-east boundary
of the said Waikupa Native Reserve to the Kaukatea
Stream; thence westerly along the said Kaukatea
Stream till it intersects a line bearing east (magnetic)
from the south-east corner of Section No. 292,
Block II., Ikitara Survey District; thence westerly
along such line to the eastern boundary of Sub-
division No. 3, hereinbefore described; and thence
Northerly along the eastern boundary-lines of said
Subdivision No. 3 and Subdivision No. 4, also herein-
before described, to the starting point.
Subdivision No. 7.
Bounded towards the North by Subdivision No. 6,
hereinbefore described; towards the East by the
centre of the Wangaehu River; towards the South
by Subdivision No. 2, hereinbefore described; and
towards the West by Subdivision No. 3, also herein-
before described.
WANGANUI COUNTY.
Wanganui and Waitotara Road District.
Bounded towards the North-west and South-west
by the Patea and Taranaki Counties, as the same are
described in the First Schedule to "The Counties
Act, 1876," from the mouth of the Waitotara River
northerly to the Wanganui River; thence towards the
North-east and South-east by the right bank of the
said Wanganui River to its mouth; and thence
towards the South-west by the shore of Cook Strait
to the mouth of the Waitotara River aforesaid, the
place of commencement: excluding the Borough of
Wanganui.
Subdivision No. 1.
The boundary commences at a point on the left
bank of the Waitotara River where the northern
boundary-line of the Waitotara purchased block
strikes it; from thence it proceeds easterly along
the said northern boundary line of the Waitotara
purchased block to the north-east corner of Native
Reserve No. 2; thence southerly to the south-
east corner of Section No. 59, Block XIII., Nuku-
maru Survey District, so as to include within its
limits the said Native Reserve No. 2, and Sections
Nos. 43, 44, 61, 60, and 59, said Nukumaru Survey
District; thence turning westerly along the shore of
Cook Strait to the mouth of the Waitotara River;
and thence northerly along the centre of the said
Waitotara River to a point in line with the northern
boundary-line of the Waitotara purchased block
aforesaid; and thence to the starting point.
Subdivision No. 2.
The boundary commences at the north-east corner
of Native Reserve No. 2 (Waitotara Block); thence it
proceeds easterly along the northern boundary-lines
of the Waitotara purchased block, of the Kai Iwi
Block, and of the Kaiwatu and Koatanui Block to
the Mangaone Stream; thence southerly along the
said Mangaone Stream, along the Kai Iwi Stream,
and along the western boundary-line of the Wanganui
purchased block to the sea; thence turning westerly
along the shore of Cook Strait to the south-east
corner of Section No. 59, Block XIII., Nukumaru
Survey District (Waitotara Block); and thence
northerly along the eastern boundary-lines of Sub-
division No. 1, hereinbefore described, to the starting
point.

Subdivision No. 3.
The boundary commences at the north-western
corner of Section No. 241, Block I., Westmere Survey
District, right bank of the Wanganui River; from
thence it proceeds easterly to the eastern corner of
Section No. 15, Block V., said Westmere Survey
District, so as to include within its limits Sections
Nos. 241, 245, 239, 244, and 170, said Block I.,
Sections Nos. 157, 156, 91, 90, 89, 108, 85, and 84,
Block II., Westmere Survey District aforesaid,
Sections Nos. 83, 82, 81, 80, and 15, Block V., West-
mere Survey District aforesaid; thence it proceeds
southerly and easterly along the north-western and
south-western boundary-lines of the Wanganui Town
Belt to the Wanganui River; thence along the bank
of the said Wanganui River to its mouth; thence
westerly along the shore of Cook Strait to the mouth
of the Mowhanau Stream; and thence northerly along
the south-eastern boundary-lines of Subdivision No. 2,
hereinbefore described, to the starting point.
Subdivision No. 4.
Bounded towards the North-west and West by
the Patea County and the Taranaki County, as the
same are described in the First Schedule to "The
Counties Act, 1876," from the northernmost corner of
Subdivision No. 1, hereinbefore described, northerly
to the Wanganui River; thence towards the North-
east and East by the right bank of the said Wanganui
River to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 202,
Block XIII., Waipakura Survey District; thence
towards the South-east by lines so as to include
Sections Nos. 203, 204, 207, also the application of
S. Gray for 115 acres, the Ngaturi Native Reserve,
and Sections Nos. 70 and 71, said Block XIII.,
Sections Nos. 61, 136, 135, 113, 112, 111, 110 and 109,
Block II., Westmere Survey District; thence towards
the South-west by Subdivision No. 3, hereinbefore
described; thence again towards the North-west by
Subdivision No. 2, hereinbefore described; and thence
again towards the South-west by the said Subdivision
No. 2 and by Subdivision No. 1, hereinbefore de-
scribed, to the Patea County boundary aforesaid, the
place of commencement.
Subdivision No. 5.
The boundary commences at the north-east corner
of Section No. 202, Block XIII., Waipakura Survey
District, right bank Wanganui River; thence it
proceeds southerly along the right bank of the said
Wanganui River to the north-east boundary-line of
the Wanganui Town Belt; thence north-westerly
and south-westerly along the boundary-lines of the
said Town Belt to the eastern corner of Section No.
15, Block V., Westmere Survey District; thence
north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary-
lines of Subdivision No. 3, hereinbefore described;
thence northerly and easterly along the south-eastern
boundary-lines of Subdivision No. 4, hereinbefore
described, to the starting point.
RANGITIKEI COUNTY.
Rangitikei Road District.
Bounded towards the North-west, North-east,
again towards the North-west, and towards the
North by the Wanganui County, as the same is
described in the First Schedule to "The Counties
Act, 1876," from the mouth of the Wangaehu River
to the westernmost boundary of the County of
Hawke's Bay, as described in the First Schedule to
"The Counties Act, 1876;" thence again towards the
North by the said Hawke's Bay County to the Rua-
hine Range; thence towards the East by summit of
the said Ruahine Range to a point due east from the
source of the Kawhatau branch of the Rangitikei
River; thence towards the South by a right line due
