Alteration of Boundaries of Road Districts and
Counties under Subsection 8 of Section 3, "Road
Boards Act, 1882."

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and au-
thorities vested in him by subsection eight of
section three of "The Road Boards Act, 1882," and
of every other power and authority enabling him in
that behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Colony of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby alter the several
boundaries of the Road Districts of Mount Welling-
ton, Mercer, Otahuhu, Taotaoroa, Waitoa, New-
castle, Wangaehu, Wanganui and Waitotara, Rangi-
tikei, Masterton, Featherston, Taratahi-Carterton,
Pokororo, Pangatotara, Takaka, Cheviot, Hals-
well, Little River, Peninsula, Balmoral, Waipori,
Clydevale, and Aparima, and doth hereby proclaim,
order, and declare that the boundaries set forth under
their respective titles in the First Schedule hereto
shall, as from the first day of January, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty-three, be the boun-
daries of the said several road districts respectively;
and, by and with the like advice and consent, His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government
doth hereby alter the boundaries of the Counties of
Manukau, Piako, Waikato, Whakatane, Cook, Wai-
rarapa West, Wairarapa East, Waitaki, Waihemo,
Peninsula, Taieri, Bruce, Clutha, and Tuapeka, and
doth hereby further proclaim, order, and declare
that the boundaries set forth in the Second Schedule
hereto under their respective titles shall, as from
the first day of January, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-three, be the boundaries of the
said several counties respectively.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
EDEN COUNTY.
Mount Wellington Road District.
Commencing at the south-western angle of Allot-
ment No. 12A, Parish of Waitemata; and bounded
towards the North by the southern boundary-line of
the said Allotment No. 12A, and by the south-western
boundary-line of Allotment No. 26A, said Parish of
Waitemata, and that boundary-line produced to the
centre of the College Road; thence by the centre of
the said College Road in a northerly direction to a
point in line with the southern boundaries of Allot-
ments Nos. 49 and 50, Parish of Waitemata afore-
said; thence to and by the southern boundaries of
the said Allotments Nos. 49 and 50 to the southern
angle of the last-named allotment; thence along the
western boundary of the Mount Wellington Reserve
to its north-western angle; thence by a right line to
the middle of the Scoria Reserve Road; thence to
and along the southern boundary of Allotment
No. 44, across a road-line, and along the southern
boundary of Allotment No. 39, Parish of Waitemata
aforesaid, to the Tamaki River; thence towards the
East and South-east by the Tamaki River; thence
towards the South by the Manukau County, herein-
after described; thence towards the West by Manu-
kau Harbour and Hamlin's Creek to the Great
South Road; thence across the Great South Road
aforesaid; thence towards the South-west by the
Great South Road aforesaid to the Harp of Erin
Inn; thence towards the North-west by a straight
line from the Harp of Erin Inn aforesaid to the
western angle of Allotment No. 25 of Section No. 12
of the Suburbs of Auckland, and by the south-eastern
boundary of the said Allotment No. 25 to the south-
western angle of Allotment No. 12A, the starting
point: exclusive of the lands and highways com-
prised within the boundaries of the Township of
Panmure, excepting so much of the main road called
