Fixing Date of Sitting of Circuit Court at Hokitika.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of January, 1882.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Supreme Court Act, 1860,"
it is enacted that there shall be held Circuit
Courts for the despatch of civil and criminal business
of the Court, before one of the Judges thereof, at
such places and times as the Governor in Council
may from time to time appoint:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in him by "The Supreme Court
Act, 1860," doth hereby appoint that there shall be
held in the Westland District, at the Supreme Court-
house, at Hokitika, on Tuesday, the fourth day of
April next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, a Circuit
Court for the despatch of civil and criminal business
of the said Court.

Extending Time for Preparation of Valuation Roll
of the County of Southland.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of January, 1882.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that cer-
tain things required to be done by "The
Rating Act, 1876," in connection with the preparation
and revision of the valuation roll of the County of
Southland cannot be done by or within the times
mentioned in the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
vested in him by the said "Rating Act, 1876," and
by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-
tive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend
the times for doing the said things in connection
with the valuation roll of the said County of South-
land, and doth declare that the times for doing

such several things shall be those specified in the
Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For transmitting to the County Council the
    valuation list: On or before the 1st May, 1882.

  2. Valuation list to be open for inspection and
    objections thereto to be received: Until the 1st
    June, 1882.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that cer-

of Inangahua cannot be done by or within the times
mentioned in the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of

Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the
times for doing the said things in connection with the
valuation roll of the said County of Inangahua, and
doth declare that the times for doing such several
things shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

Authorizing the St. Heliers Land, Building, and In-
vestment Company (Limited) to build a Wharf
in Auckland Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of January, 1882.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the sixteenth section of "The
Harbours Act, 1878," it is enacted that in
any harbour where no Harbour Board is in existence
the Governor in Council may authorize any person
to construct harbour works (other than the reclama-
tion of land from the sea, or any harbour, or the con-
struction of any graving dock, dock, or breakwater
in any harbour or in the sea), and to use and occupy
such part of the foreshore, or of any tidal land or
tidal waters, as may be necessary for the construction
or use of such harbour works in any harbour where
no Harbour Board is in existence: And whereas by
the seventeenth section of the said Act it is also
enacted that every such Order in Council shall be
made upon such terms and conditions as the
Governor in Council thinks fit, and the rights thereby
conferred shall only be granted for a limited period
