KANIERI DISTRICT.

To the Mining Registrar at Kanieri of the Mining District, and to all other persons whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and Dam, and to divert water for the purpose of driving machinery, and that the following are the particulars of the said dam and water-race:—

  1. Situation of dam: At Frosty Creek, about one and a half miles east of the point where the Hokitika and Ross Road crosses the said creek.
  2. Length of dam: 3 chains.
  3. Greatest height: 6 feet.
  4. Area of reservoir: 2 acres or thereabouts.
  5. Head of race: At the aforesaid dam.
  6. Course, length, and termination of race: Parallel to the course of the said creek for a distance of two miles, and terminating at a point about 10 chains from the point where the said creek runs into the Mahinapua Lake.
  7. Nature of race: Partly flume and partly ditch.
  8. Capacity: Mean breadth 3 feet, and mean depth 3 feet; and it is proposed to divert and carry twelve Government-heads of water.

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of clause 192 of the above Act, that, at special meetings of the above-named Company, held at the European Hotel, Charleston, at 8 o'clock p.m., on the 7th and 28th days of November, 1882, the following special resolution was duly passed and confirmed on the foregoing dates respectively:—
"That the Charleston Four-Mile Water-race Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of 'The Companies Act, 1882.'"
