Sale of Special-Value Land in Canterbury.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-eighth day of November, 1882.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by
"The Public Reserves Sale Act, 1878," His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby declare that Section twenty
of Reserve one thousand three hundred and seventy-
one (in red), containing three hundred and sixteen
acres three roods thirty-three perches, which it was
declared by Order in Council dated the twentieth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine, should be alienated on deferred pay-
ments, shall be offered for sale by public auction,
for cash, at an upset price of six, hundred and
thirty-four pounds, after at least one month's notice
of the date and place of sale shall have been given by
the Commissioner of Crown Lands by advertisement
in at least one newspaper circulating in Canterbury,
such notice to be inserted at least once in each week.

Fixing Sittings of the District Courts of Nelson and
Westland.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority in this behalf enabling me, I, James
Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and ap-
point that sittings of the District Courts of Nelson
and Westland, for civil and criminal business, shall
be held as follows, from and after the first day of
January next, in lieu of those previously fixed and
appointed :-

to be the Deputy of the Registrar of Marriages and

THOMAS HOWLEY, Esq.,
to be Deputy-Sheriff for the District of Timaru.

aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court
appointed for that day shall be holden on the first
day thereafter not being a holiday.
