Notification under "The Public Reserves Act
Amendment, Act, 1878."
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
WHEREAS the provisions and the requirements
of the eighth section of "The Public Reserves
Act Amendment Act, 1878," have been duly complied
with in respect of the lands described in the first
column of the Schedule hereto: And whereas
notices in the Gazette have been duly published for
four consecutive weeks, and laid before both Houses
of the Assembly at its last session, as provided by
the ninth section of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
notify that neither House of Assembly has during
such session declared that it does not assent to such
proposed change.
SCHEDULE.
Description of Land.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Marlborough, containing by admeasurement 270
acres, more or less, situate in the District of Omaka,
and being Section No. 31, and part 2 of Section No.
33, on the plan of the said district. Bounded towards
the North, 3750 links, by Sections numbered re-
spectivey 32 and 30 on the said plan, and 1900 links
by a public road 75 links wide; towards the East by
the River Taylor; towards the South, 700 links and
3750 links, by a public road 75 links wide; and
towards the West, 5500 links, by part 1 of Section
No. 33 on the said plan.
Purpose.
Recreation.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this third day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.
WM. ROLLESTON.
Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of
Auckland, West Coast (North Island) and South-
land.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve
from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auck-
land, West Coast (North Island), and Southland,
described in the Schedule hereunder written, for
the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that piece or parcel of land situated in Block
IV., Onewhero Survey District, Provincial District
of Auckland, called or known as Lot No. 612, Parish
of Tuakau, and containing by admeasurement 1 acre
3 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the North
by a public road, 610 links; towards the South-east
by a public road, 790 links; and towards the West
by a public road, 585 links, to point of commence-
ment: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
For a school site.
WEST COAST.
All that parcel of land in the West Coast Land
District (North Island), situate in the Township of
