IN pursuance of "The Property Assessment Act, 1879," and
"The Property Assessment Act Amendment Act, 1881," you
are required to make a return at foot hereof of the total amount
of premiums received for and in respect of all fire, marine, or
guarantee policies, and of the total amount of re-insurance paid
by your company in respect of the said policies for the half-year
ended , 188 ; and you are further required to forward
such return to me not later than the day of , 188 .

Corporation of the Borough of Thames.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
first day of November, 1881.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by "The Special Powers and Contracts
Act, 1881," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the ad-
vice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, do hereby declare the Grahamstown and
Tararu Tramway to be vested, from the first day of
August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one,
in the Corporation of the Borough of Thames, and
that the said tramway shall be deemed to be a tram-
way constructed by the said borough under the
provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act,
1876."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
first day of November, 1881.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council bearing date
the tenth day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-nine, the powers granted to the
Colonial Secretary under the seventy-fourth and
seventy-fifth sections of "The Lunatics Act, 1868,"
were delegated to Robert Clapham Barstow: And
whereas it is expedient to delegate the said powers
in manner hereinafter expressed:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Colony, doth, by this present order, delegate to the
Honorable Frederick Whitaker the powers granted
to the Colonial Secretary under the seventy-fourth
and seventy-fifth sections of the said Act, and doth
hereby order that the said powers shall be exercised
by the Honorable Frederick Whitaker within the
Auckland District.
