February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two, at the Land Office, Invercargill.
3. The lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto
shall be sold on deferred payments, subject to the
provisions relating to suburban lands of Part III. of
"The Land Act, 1877," and to the provisions of sec-
tion nine of "The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act,
1879."
4. No person shall be allowed to acquire more than
one section upon deferred payments.
5. The price stated in the Schedule hereto shall
be the price at which the lands shall be open for
application.
6. If there should be more than one application
for any allotment, the right to occupy the same shall
be determined by lot amongst the applicants.
7. Each applicant will be required to make the
declaration prescribed by section sixty-two of "The
Land Act, 1877," and shall at the time of application
deposit with the Receiver of Land Revenue for the
Southland Land District one-tenth of the price of
the allotment. Such payment shall be deemed to be
a discharge of the license-fee for the six months
ending the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two.
8. Upon the fulfilment of the terms and conditions
prescribed by "The Land Act, 1877," and "The
Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," relating to
land on deferred payments, the purchaser will be
entitled to his Crown grant, to be issued in the usual
way upon payment of the fees prescribed by law.

ment of Fees, &c.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-sixth day of October, 1881.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

HEREAS by "The Stamp Fee Act, 1880," it
was provided that all regulations made under
"The Stamp Fee Act, 1875," should continue in force
until altered or repealed in the manner therein pro-
vided : And whereas by the fourth section of "The
Stamp Fee Act, 1880," it was provided that the
Governor in Council might alter or repeal regula-
tions not contrary to that Act for the due adminis-
tration thereof : And whereas by divers Orders in
Council made under "The Stamp Fee Act, 1875,"
dated respectively the twenty-third day of December,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, the
eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-six, the seventeenth day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, the third
day of December, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight, and the seventeenth day of December,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, a
number of regulations were thereby made providing,
inter alia, for the use of stamps in payment of fees
and other matters, and especially that certain fees
and payments should be made by stamps marked
Law Court Stamps, and others by stamps marked
Land and Deeds Stamps: And whereas it is ex-
pedient to provide for the use of any kind of stamp
for the payment of any such fees or other matters:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pur-
suance of the powers vested in him by the said
Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling
him in that behalf, and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council of the said colony,
doth hereby order and declare that, from and after
the making of this order, it shall and may be lawful
to use any kind of stamps issued by the Government
of the said colony (except those issued under "The
Beer Duty Act, 1880") in payment of any matters
or things which, under "The Stamp Fee Act, 1880,"
or the said regulations, or any other regulations made
under "The Stamp Fee Act, 1875," or "The Stamp
Fee Act, 1880," are required to be paid or denoted
by stamps, anything to the contrary in any such re-
gulations notwithstanding: And, further, that penny
postage stamps may, from and after the making of
this Order, be used for stamping receipts under "The
Stamp Act, 1875."

Duties Act, 1881."

HEREAS by section four of "The Deceased
persons' Estates Duties Act, 1881," it is
enacted that the Governor may from time to time
make such rules as he may deem necessary, pre-
scribing what shall be done by any person concerned
or interested in any matter arising under the said
Act, and the duties of the Commissioner and all other
officers acting thereunder, and prescribing such forms
of statements and other forms and proceedings as may
be necessary for the giving effect to the said Act, and
also how and by whom any such statements or other
forms shall be verified, and whether by oaths or by
statutory declarations or otherwise :.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the colony, in pursuance and exercise of
the above-recited power and authority, and of all
other powers and authorities him thereunto enabling,
doth hereby make the regulations contained in the
Schedule following.

SCHEDULE.
REGULATIONS.

THE statement of property required to be filed by an
administrator under section 5 of the said Act shall
be in the form marked L at the end hereof.
Such statement (and if required by the Commis-
sioner or Deputy-Commissioner ali schedules in sup-
port thereof) shall be verified by the solemn declara-
