A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road approach to the
Helensville Railway Station, on the Kaipara-Waikato
Railway:

And whereas the Minister for Public Works has
laid before the Governor the memorial and map
mentioned in and signed and certified as required
by the said Acts:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pur-
suance of the powers and authorities in me vested
by sections twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three,
twenty-four, and twenty-five of "The Public Works
Act, 1876," and by section twenty-eight of "The
Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and
of any other power and authority enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and
after the third day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one, the land so described shall
become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her
Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges,
claims, estates, and interests of what kind soever, for
use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL those pieces or parcels of land containing by
admeasurement 2 roods 22 perches, 33 perches, and
19 perches respectively, being portions of the Te
Kauri Block numbered 1118: Portion containing 2
roods 22 perches, commencing at a point 152 links
distant from the north-eastern angle of Te Kauri
Block. Bounded - Northerly by a line, 67 links;
Easterly by a line, 850 links; Southerly by a road-
line, 100 links; Westerly by a line, 222 links;
Northerly by a line, 33 links; Westerly by a line, 628
links, to the commencing point. Portion containing
33 perches, commencing at a point 185 links distant
from the north-eastern angle of Te Kauri Block.
Bounded-Northerly by a line, 33 links; Easterly
by a line, 628 links; Southerly by a line, 33 links;
Westerly by a line, 628 links, to commencing point.
Portion containing 19 perches, commencing at a point
247 links distant from the north-western angle of the
portion last described. Bounded--Northerly by a
line, 121 links; Westerly by a line, 100 links; South-
erly by a line, 118 links; Easterly by a line to com-
mencing point, 100 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 3 roods 32 perches, being a portion of
Te Rewarewa Block numbered 1120, commencing at
a point 689 links from the northernmost angle of Te
Rewarewa Block. Bounded-North-easterly by Te
Whenua Hou Block, 102 links; South-easterly and
Easterly by Te Rewarewa Block, 85 and 817 links
respectively; Southerly by Te Kauri Block, 100 links;
Westerly and North-westerly by Te Rewarewa
Block aforesaid, 852 and 146 links respectively, to
commencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 32 perches, more or less, being a por-
tion of Te Whenua Hou Block numbered 278, com-
mencing at a point 664 links distant from the south-
eastern angle of Te Whenua Hou Block. Bounded-
North-easterly by a line, 102 links; South-easterly
by a line, 198 links; South-westerly by a line, 102
links; North-westerly to the commencing point by
a line, 198 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 1 rood 7 perches, more or less,
being portion of Wai Horoi Kai Block numbered
14, commencing at a point 787 links distant from
the south-easternmost angle of the Wai Horoi Kai
Block. Bounded - North-easterly by a line, 102
links; South-easterly by a line, 293 links; South-
westerly by a line, 102 links; North-westerly to the
commencing point by a line, 292 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 15 perches, being portion of the Wai
Omu Block numbered 13, commencing at a point
368 links distant from the southern angle of the Wai
Omu Block. Bounded-North-easterly by a road-
line, 115 links; South-easterly by a line, 76 links;
South-westerly by a line, 102 links; North-westerly
to the commencing point by a line, 110 links.

All the above areas and linkages being either more
or less, and the several parcels of land being situate
in the Kaipara Survey District, Provincial District of
Auckland, Colony of New Zealand, and are more
particularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D.
8688, deposited in the office of the Minister for
Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-sixth day of October, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one.
