NOTICE is hereby given that JOHANNA WIL-
HELMINA REBECCA CHRISTIE, of Out-
ram, Widow, claiming as Devisee under the will of
GEORGE CHRISTIE, late of Outram, Settler, deceased,
has applied to be registered as Proprietress of an
estate in fee-simple in Allotments 25 and 26, Exten-
sion of the Town of Outram, comprised in certificate
of title, Register-book, Vol. xxvii., folio 105; and that
she will be so registered as such proprietress, unless
caveat be lodged at this office forbidding the same
within one calendar month from date of publication
of this notice.

GEELONG GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE OF CALL.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Directors of the
above Company, at a meeting held this day,
made a call of 9d. per share, and that the same is
payable at the registered office of the Company, Dee
Street, Invercargill, on or before Wednesday, the 9th
day of February, 1881.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Tuapeka, 20th December, 1880.

To the Warden at Lawrence.

I hereby give notice that I intend to construct a
Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point on the south side of
the Waipori River, half a mile or thereabouts above
the bridge, terminating at the slaughterhouse of
Kwong Sing Yoon, of Waipori, aforesaid.

The length of such race is one mile or there-
abouts, and its intended course is from the south-west
to the north-east. The mean depth of such race is
4 feet, and the mean breadth is 3 feet, and it is pro-
posed to divert five Government-heads of water.

Any person objecting to the granting of this
application must lodge his objection in writing at the

APPLICATION FOR LEASE.

Mount Ida, 4th January, 1880.

To the Warden at Naseby.

I hereby apply for a Gold-Mining Lease of the
lands hereinafter described, in accordance
with the Gold-Mining Leases Regulations of New
Zealand; and I agree, upon the approval of this
application, to execute a lease upon the bases therein
stated, if the Governor shall think fit to grant the
same.

Amount of capital proposed to be invested: £5,000.
Proposed mode of working the land: Sinking and tunnelling.
Precise locality: On main spur between Bone's and Riddle's
Creeks, Serpentine.
Term for which lease is required: Fifteen years.
Time of commencing operations: As soon as granted.
General remarks: This ground has been worked by the said
party since the 20th October last, under miners' rights as
well as under application for lease, and having had ground
surveyed.

The above application will be heard at the Warden's
Office at Naseby on the 25th February, 1881.

Any person desiring to object to the issue of a
mining lease upon the above application must,
within fourteen clear days from the date of such
application, enter his objection at the Warden's
Office at Naseby.
