Changing Purpose of Reserve at Oamaru.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, 1881.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the provisions and the requirements of the eight section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1878,” have been duly complied with in respect of the lands described in the first column of the Schedule hereto: And whereas notices in the Gazette have been duly published for four consecutive weeks and laid before both Houses of the Assembly, as provided by the ninth section of the said Act: And whereas no resolution of either House of Assembly has been passed that such House does not concur in the intention declared in any such notices:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the ninth section of the Act aforesaid, do hereby define the change of purpose of the lands described in the second column of the Schedule hereto to be from that named in the first column of the Schedule to that named in the third column of the Schedule hereto respectively.

Exchange of Land in the Provincial District of Canterbury.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-eighth section of “The Land Act, 1877,” power is given to the Governor to exchange any land set apart as a reserve for other land of equal value as he may think fit, and to make a Crown grant thereof accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Chief Justice of the Colony of New Zealand, and Administrator of the Government thereof, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby declare that the land mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be exchanged for the land mentioned in the second column of the said Schedule.

Of which it is proposed to exchange 13 acres and 36 perches. Bounded—Northward by Sections Nos. 6811 and 16855, 1104 and 448 links respectively; Eastward by the Longbeach Road, 1012 links; Southward by a line at right angles to the eastern boundary; and Westward by Section No. 6812. | All that parcel of land in the Hinds Survey District, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing 13 acres and 36 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 8402. Bounded—Northward by Reserve No. 1429 (in red); Eastward by the Longbeach Road. 964 links; Southward by a road-line; and Westward by Section No. 6812. |

Changing Purpose of a Reserve at Wanganui.
ARTHUR GORDON, GOVERNOR.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1881,” I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the following piece or parcel of land in the Town of Wanganui, Provincial District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, and described in the Schedule hereto, is and shall be changed from a site for Harbour Board offices to a reserve for Harbour Board purposes; and I do further declare that the said land shall vest in the Wanganui Harbour Board for Harbour Board purposes from the day of the date hereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land situate in the Town of Wanganui, Provincial District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by Nixon Place, 200 links; towards the South-east by Taupo Quay, 125 links; towards the South-west by Section No. 29, 200 links; and towards the North-west by Section No. 28, 125 links.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.
