Description of Land.—149, swamp land; 445,
about one-half undulating fern hills, remainder very
broken; 446, western part undulating fern hills,
two-thirds bush; 447, four-fifths bush and scrub,
very broken, about 20 acres flat scrub; 449, very
broken, all bush except about 10 acres fern and
scrub, some kahikatea, rimu, and tanikaha; 450,
very broken, all bush except about 20 acres fern and
scrub, some puriri and rimu; 451, very broken, all
bush except about 20 acres fern and scrub, some
puriri, rimu, and kahikatea; 452, three-fourths
open fern land, about half of which is plough-
able, about 10 acres swamp, remainder light bush,
consisting of tawa, rewarewa, rata, pukatea, with a
few rimu, a considerable quantity of heavy puriri
on ridge near south boundary, soil light; 453,
three-fourths open fern hills, about 40 acres plough-
able, about 10 acres swamp, remainder light bush,
consisting of tawa, &c., with a few small puriri trees;
454, mostly all bush, consisting of tawa, heavy
manuka, a little puriri (about 1 to 2 acres), swamp,
broken hills, soil light. These lots when cleared of
fern and bush will take grass well, as may be seen on
the adjoining lot, 403.
