In accordance with the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts, I hereby give public notice that the
day of , 188, is the time, and my
office, Government Buildings, Wellington, is the
place, at which the public officers of all companies
are required to furnish statements of property belong-
ing to such companies, in accordance with the said
Acts.

N.B.-Forms of statements will be forwarded to
all public officers as far as practicable, but, as the
duty of procuring such forms is cast upon the public,
no person is excused from neglecting to provide him-

Extending Time during which it is prohibited to hunt,
catch, or kill Seals.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
eighteenth day of October, 1881.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by the fifth section of
"The Seals Fisheries Protection Act, 1878,"
that, if he shall think it necessary for the preservation
of seals to do so, the Governor may, by Order in
Council, extend the time during which it is pro-
hibited to hunt, catch, or kill seals over any term
not exceeding three years:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New
Zealand, and in pursuance of the above-mentioned
power, doth hereby extend the time during which it
is prohibited to hunt, catch, or kill seals from the
first day of November, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one, until the first day June, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Authorizing the taking and laying down of Roads
over Native Land in the Auckland Provincial
District.

IN exercise and pursuance of all powers and au-
thorities enabling me in this behalf by "The
Native Land Act, 1873," "The Native Land Act
Amendment Act, 1878 (No. 2)," and "The Public
Works Act, 1880," I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby authorize
SIDNEY WEETMAN,
District Surveyor, of Kaipara, to take and lay down
roads over the lands specified in the Schedule hereto,
and for that purpose to exercise all such powers as
by the said Acts may be exercised by a person legally
authorized in that behalf under the said Acts.

Fixing Sittings of District Court of Wanganui.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority in that behalf enabling me, I, Sir James
Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and
appoint that sittings of the District Court of Wanga-
nui shall be held as follows in lieu of those pre-
viously fixed and appointed :-
In the Courthouse at Wanganui, for the despatch
of civil business, on the fourth Monday in the months
of January, February, May, July, August, and No-
vember; and, for the despatch of civil and criminal
business, on the fourth Monday in the months of
March, June, and September, and on the second
Monday in the month of December, in each year.
In the Courthouse at Palmerston North, for the
despatch of civil and criminal business, on the Tues-
day before the fourth Monday in the months of
March, June, and September, and before the second
Monday in the month of December, in each year.
